  1. Honestly I am not hungry so I'm not really even thinking about drinking. I have been eating a ton of SF popsicles though. Peeing....a few times a day.

I'm scared to get an unfill. I dont want to be hungry.

I will try the liquid only for 2 days and see how it goes. I'm hoping I am doing somehting wrong like eating too fast or too big bites but I thought by now I'd be able to eat.

  2. So I had my first fill 8 days ago. I still cant eat solids....honestly, Im not hungry and when I do eat I throw most of it up unless it is Soup. I'm not sure if I am eating too fast or too big of bites but I have tried small bites and going slower and I get "stuck" pains.

Anyones experience this??? I only have 4cc in a 10cc band!!

Now...I am losing. I have lost almost 5 lbs in a week but I am scared I'm not getting any Vitamins. I do drink 1 Protein Shake a day and it fills me right up.

    :tt1:

  3. Hi everyone,

I amabout 2 weeks post op. During the liquid phase I lost a pound a day and was loving it. I've lost 11 since the surgery and 11 before. But now that I am on mushies I'm not losing anything. Actually, I'm up 1 pound! Here is what I ate yesterday....

B - 1/2 cup eggbeaters, 1/4 cup soy crumbles, 2 tbsp LF cheese

L - 1/3 cup FF refried bean, 1/4 cup soy crumbles, 2 tbsp, LF cheese

    D - 1/4 cup FF cottage cheese & 2 oz salmon

    snack - 2 SF popsicles.

In my past life, That would have all been for one meal. But, I'm not really hungry either.

Why isnt the scale moving???????? :cursing:

  4. Since we are getting ready to go into summer that I would put away allof my winter clothes. I usually just hang them in the back of my closet but this year I'm trying something new. I am putting them in a big tote and will not pull them out until October. By then I hopefully will be smaller and wont fit into them anymore. I want that moment of "I used to wear this"! And...when they dont fit anymore, they are OUT of this house forever!!!!!

    So....in the basement they go!

  5. Hi everyone! Well, I am home and can hardly believe I finally have one. My surgery went very well. I was up and moving around quickly. I did stay they night but it was my choice. I was coming home to an empty house and they just preferred it. (My kids are young and with my mom....I didnt want them to know).

So, I feel pretty good today. I'm just starting to feel some pain so I just took the meds. I've had about 50g of Protein today mainly from 2 drinks.< /p>

I hope everyone else is doing well!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!! I cant believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. I have a couple of questions. I wasnt thinking about getting one but I definately am now. The problem is that only a select few know about me doing this. If I get a Bracelet, everyone will see it and know.

I did look at Lauren's hope and saw some very nice ones. However, if they are too decorative, wil the EMT even realize they are a medical ID bracelet?

I was thinking of a tattoo around the port area.

    Any insight? Thanks!

  7. I also have Aetna and they asked my primary care for the last 2 years history. He did have it and faxed it over. Now, if you dont, have you done Weight watchers, Nutrisystem, Jenny Craig or anything else? Because I also had all of the receipts, books, etc to prove I have been battling this. My nurse at Aetna told me they needed the letter to prove I didnt gain it all within the past year and this was a "quick fix" to losing it. I have been battling it forever and by no mean think it is a "quick fix" and was kinda surpised she said it. But anyway, I'd send them that stuff if you have it too! Good luck!!

  8. I am on Monday, 5/17!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am currently on my pre-op diet....Wed - Saturday = only liquids plus a dinner (Protein, salad, & steamed veggie); Sunday = liquids only; Monday surgery!!!!

I ALMOST made a mistake. I havent really craved anything because the Protein shakes make me full and I only had to do it for a few days. But I wanted a few pretzels after dinner knowing I wont have any solids for 2 weeks now. I put them in my mouth, chewed and then internally yelled at myself and spit them out. I even rinsed my mouth out so I wouldnt taste them. What was I thinking? We are all human.

    Best of luck to you!!!!

  9. Dont fret about the plane ride!!!! At my highest of 289 I fit on a plane. I will admit that sometimes I had to struggle with the seatbelt but it always worked. If you have issues, see the stewardess who will give you a seat belt extender. Dont feel bad....you will never need it again!!!

I am currently on my pre-op diet....Wed - Saturday = only liquids plus a dinner (protein, salad, & steamed veggie); Sunday = liquids only; Monday surgery!!!! Every doc is different.

Good luck!! Dont worry about the plane ride. Bring some magazines, books, MP3 player and relax!

  10. Well I am being banded on Monday 5/17!!! I am nervous/excited/scared.......

I have bought everything I need for home. My surgery is late morning so I will probably have to spend the night. What should I bring to the hospital??? I dont want to overpack (my habit) but want to make sure I have what I need.

    Thanks for the advice!!

  11. I agree...I love the chocloate Protein shakes!!! I amkes them 2 ways that I love and they are SO chocolately....

    chocolate Milk

    8oz skim milk

    packet of splenda

    2 tsp Fiber powder

    1 scoop chocolate powder

2 TBSP SF DaVinicis chocolate Syrup

I shake it and let it sit for a little while in the fridge. YUMMY!

    Also,

    Hazelnut Mochachinno

    8 oz skim milk

    1 scoop chocolate Protein Powder

    1 tbsp Decaf instant coffee

    1 packet splenda

    1 tbsp SF hazelnut syrup

Put it in a shaker bottle and add a few ice cubes. I usually let it set overnight so the flavors blend but you can drink immediately. I also have put in the blender to make an icy coffee drink. 190 calories & 22g protein!!!
