  1. Hi Gina . . I don't get on this site much since it changed. I just can't figure it out anymore - ughh! I hope you get this message. The support group is on Wednesdays and yes, it is next week - hope to see you there! Rose

  2. Hi . . I read your post and am so glad to hear from one of my band buddies - seem to have lost track of everyone when the site changed. I am not able to reply on the blog site. Hope you get this message and know that you have my congratulations. Happy Days!

  3. Well, I hope you can find this .. .I don't know, this site is very hard to navigate. I'm glad it's not serious with your leg - if it's from exercising, it should get better, right? And now you know where you're at with your band (2.5cc), so on you go from here. Keep up the good work.

  4. I found your post on my site, but not sure if this is how to reply . . sorry, I have not heard of leg pain after surgery - I would contact your doc's office for sure. The only thing I can think of would be to make sure you are getting enough water, but not sure that would contribute to leg pain . . good luck.

  5. Hi Jill, did you receive my answers to your questions? I'm never sure I post to the right spot. I had hit reply on yours, but it seemed to me that my reply posted on MY site - not yours . ..arghh, I'm struggling with this new site. Let me know if you received my reply!

  6. Almost 6 months out and I'm still lovin' my band (which I've named J. Giels - the J. Giels Band ). I've lost 70 pounds since I started pre-op diet July 1st. Hope you are all doing well . ..where are my "old" band buddies? We've lost each other on this new site!

  7. Well, Eileen . . I don't know if you'll get this. I'm receiving e-mails telling me that people have posted a msg. to me, but I can't find them. Very frustrating. Anyway, the e-mail msg. said you had not eaten one thing you shouldn't have over Christmas - yeah you! I made a sf cheesecake flavored pudding in a reduced fat graham cracker crust, so had a "treat". Keep in touch - and I'll try!

  8. Sandra, where are you? This new look to our site is difficult to navigate. Hope all is well with you - where did your picture go?

  9. Hi Jill, I received your message, but since this site changed I have trouble figuring out how to reply - ugh! Anyway, I love Dr. Ringley's office - they're great. My surgery went well and I've been doing great since then (7/15/10), let me know if I can help. Support group meeting 1st Wed. of month at the office. Good luck! Rose

  10. Hi! I did receive your post to me and now I can't find it again . . ughh! And I did respond too, but I don't know where on earth it went. Glad you are doing well - Merry Christmas.

  11. Hey, thanks for checking in .. . I feel a bit lost with this new site . . . can't keep up with my regular "buddies". I am still doing well and hope you are also. Merry Christmas!

  12. Hi - how are you? I'm having a terrible time navigating on this new site . . .hope you are well. I have my 3rd fill scheduled for January . . I'm fighting hunger again - but still losing! :-)

Hi Winks, I had a message earlier that you had posted something to me, but I'm having a terrible time navigating this new site, so I never found it. Hope you are well! Rose

  14. Hi Janet . . .haven't heard from you since your post about not feeling well. Have you recovered? Praying you are well .. . Rose

  15. Hi Giby . . how are you doing? Haven't read a post from you in a bit, so thought I'd check in. Hope all is well in your world!

  16. How great that you did not need the 2nd fill yet! I'm so glad you are doing well - consistently. You're like a steam engine, just chugging along towards your goal! You're doing great and thanks for sharing your journey stories. Rose

  17. Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I am definitely feeling some restriction and it's great! My 2nd fill was Friday. I now have 4cc in a 10 cc band. I did liquids Friday after the fill and all day Saturday. After my 1st fill, I was starving the first couple of days on liquids, this time . . I was ok. And when I went to mushies on Sunday, I ate and felt full and stayed full - I LOVE IT! It's like it should be. I'm able to eat what I need, but feel full with it. How are you doing since your 2nd fill today? Rose

Thanks copa, glad you are doing well and sorry you're having the pain in your neck . . I have not heard of that, but I do know that we relaly get banged around during surgery. Hope it clears up soon. When do you see your surgeon so you could ask about it? My weight loss has been good . .I'm at 50 pounds - wow amazing. I'm going for a 2nd fill this Friday. Thanks for keeping in touch! Rose

  19. Hi Eileen,I think your 39 pounds is fantastic. The fact that your weight is consistently going down is great. I'm not sure there is a "should" have as far as how much we each should lose. I really had not calculated it, but since you asked, I sat down and charted it out . I'm in week #14 & have lost 50 # including pre-op (10 #). My losses are a bit lower recently compared to August. I'm 183 at my morning weigh in. I still weigh every day - bad I know, and I'm not going to the gym, but I walk at least a mile every day. I have no complaints. I realize my loss is probably above average and I'm glad for that - I just don't want that to be discouraging for anyone else. I wish I could get to a gym like you do, I know that has to be firming up areas that need it . . I have pretty bad bat wings and my belly just doesn't want to go down as much as I would like. . ..ah well . .. in time! Thanks for keeping in touch! Rose

  20. Hi Eileen, I am doing well. My first fill went well; however, I really can't say as I've noticed a difference since then . .. I am still losing, but it is taking a LOT of my own will power to keep doing the right things . . .I'm hungry. I am scheduled for my second fill this coming Friday, so hoping for some help from that. My surgeon recommended a second fill - even though I'm still losing, he said that to use this tool to its fullest, I should eat a cup of food - the right foods, of course - and that should hold me for 4 or 5 hours. That is definitely not happening. We had a long weekend away Fri -Sunday out of state for a family wedding. I did ok, but again, it was really difficult because I was hungry. So . . here's hoping fill #2 does the trick. And how about you? I haven't gone over to read the recent posts . . .I just got on the site, so maybe you've posted and I'll see it when I go and catch up . .. hope you are well and things are going well for you. Rose

  21. I am soooo happy for you after reading today's post!! What a relief :-) Blessings, blessings!!

  22. I know what you mean about no restriction with the first fill - I don't notice any difference at all. I am scheduled for my 2nd fill on the 22nd, which is good because I'm getting really hungry between meals. I hit 50 pounds this week - woo hoo! Thanks for keeping in touch!

  23. Hi Laura, I am doing well - thanks for checking. I had first fill on October 1st, but am not feeling restriction. I'm scheduled for 2nd fill on the 22nd. How are you doing? I like your new profile picture. We have a wedding this weekend and I'm hoping to fit into a dress I have in my closet . . .but I'm not sure so I have a backup dress. We'll see. I hit 50 pounds last week - woo hoo! Thanks for keeping in touch! Rose

  24. Dear friend, I'm sorry you are having trouble. Please consider this a long distance *hug*. You are in my prayers and you never know, things could turn around. And even if you need another surgery to correct this, you could still keep the band. Think positive and hold on until you know everything - don't sink too far. We're right here with you. Keep us posted.

  25. Hi Healthy . ..it's been a while . .. how are things going?
