  1. I am hoping you haven't stopped coming to the site because we all need you. Like Marw asked, what happend to your photo? Please get in touch.

  2. Thanks Shonette. I feel great. I wish I liked this new site, but I can seem to navigate it correctly. I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and I wish you a happy, healthy and "thin" New Year. Please keep in touch. I feel lost without my bandster friends.

  3. Sandra, I have been looking for you. I hate this new site, I can't find any body. How are you doing? Did you have a nice Thanksgiving? Are you still writing your blogs, because I can't find anything here. I want our old site back.

Please let me know how you are doing. Eileen

  4. Hi, Deb:

Thank for the comment on my blog.

You have started on a wonderful journey. It will be so amazing to you to see how much weight you will lose in jsut a short amount of time and how wonderful you will begin to feel.

Listen to your doctor and you are well on your way. Let me know how you are doing and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate.

  5. Hi, Winks:

Thanks for adding me to your friends list. I used to love posting here, but I am now sure how to do it anymore. The old site was much easier to navigate.

  6. I don't know about you, but I am having a problem navigating this new website.

How was your Thanksgiving? We enjoyed out time in CT with family and friends. I watched what I ate and exercised and came home 3 lbs smaller than when I went up.

Not sure how to post to my blog anymore????

  7. back from vacation

  8. Hi, Rose

Just returned from vacation and I can't figure out how to post to my blog. I don't like this new site - it is confusing.

Had a fabulous time in CT. While I was worried I would gain weight, I ate right and exercised and came home 3.1 lbs less. I couldn't have been happier. 2 lbs and I am in the Onderland. Now, If I can just figure out how to post, I'll be happy.

  9. How are you doing? I haven't seen any posts lately, although you did respond to one of my blogs. Let us know how you are doing.

  10. Your before and after pics are amazing. You are doing a great job. Sometimes we just need a break from things when we get really stresses and you still lost weight. Every stinking ounce is a success. So you move forward now. I hope the fill gives you the kick-start you need. Thanks for the kind words on my blog.

  11. I just looked at your progress photos and my goodness, girl you look great! You must be feeling so amazing. It shows in your face. Keep up the good work. I know how hard it is, but you are doing it!

  12. Hi, Rose:

Thanks for the response to my blog. Don't you feel great? I am so looking forward to getting off the rest of my meds, hopefully soon. But not being diabetic any longer is amazing to me. If not for the LB, this would never have happened.

You know, I wish we all lived near eachother so we could just get together and share, laugh and inspire eachother in person. We should have a lap band convention!

Have a wonderful weekend and keep up the good work.

  13. My girlfriend, the one who turned me on to my wonderful Lap Band surgeon did just that. I will definately try that after Thanksgiving. Thanks for another great tip.

  14. Thanks for the idea of the wrong size shoes making my feet numb, but the funny thing is I actually have gone down in size from an 8.5Wide to an 8 or 8.5. But I will have to check it out anyway.

  15. Congrats for reaching the Onederland. I have about 10 lbs to go before I get there, but I know it is coming. Keep up the good work.

  16. Hi, Rose:

I ended up not needing it yet. So I made an appt to go back on Nov 12th, if needed. The PA said I was doing so well that she didn't want to mess with a good thing. I am losing consistently around 10lbs a month and not hungry between. I am so glad you are doing well. Keep it up.

  17. Almost 40 lbs - congrats to you! Keep up the good work. It is amazing how wonderful I feel at 41 lbs. You must be feeling like a million bucks too.

  18. Hi, Mezzo:

I actually joined the gym a month before my surgery so I was able to do a little walking to help rid myself of the gas. Then I returned to the gym less than 2 weeks after my surgery. I walked on the treadmill at a zero incline at about 2.5 mph and used the new-step machine. If you don't know that that is, you pump your feet forward and back and there you use your arms to push forward and back also. I also used a machine that you sit at and use your arms only called a Sci-Fit machine.

Today I walk the treadmill at a 12% incline at about 3.1 mps. I row, use the 2 machines I listed above, I use the eliptical machine and lift weights. I LOVE THE GYM.

I hope you are doing well and are as happy as I am that I was banded.

  19. Hi, Rose:

Rich, my husband, and were told by my Oncologist that I should join a gym - it would help ward off getting cancer again. I was not interested in a Bally's or LA Fitness. Too much of a "pick-up" joint. But my hospital has a fitness center about 15 minutes from my home/work. So we joined and I really like it. Living in Florida, it is just too hot to walk outside. The gym is helping me get back into shape and the batwings are getting smaller and the stomach is getting tighter.

Tonight I weighed in at 211.6. My next fill is on Monday, so I will see what the doctor has to say.

Have a great night and keep up the hard work. I can't wait until I am out of the 200s. Eileen

  20. Uploading a photo is really easy. Simply take a digital and upload it to somewhere on your computer. Then go to your photo album, browse until you find the picture you want to upload and upload it. Thanks for commenting on mine.

  21. Hi, Rose:

I am so glad you had a good weekend away. I am scheduled for my 2nd fill on the 25th, next Monday. I am losing consistently about a pound a week, but I really thought it would be more. I am NOT hungry between meals - luckily. I am not cheating with things I shouldn't eat and I feel really good. However, I really thought I would have a 2-4 lbs loss per week. I don't feel any restriction, but when I start to feel full, I stop eating. I only eat 3 meals a day. Tonight I had a chicken thigh, no skin, no bones, that I cooked stove top with cream of mushroom soup and brocolli. I was stuffed!

I weighed in today at the gym and I'm down to 212.2. I thought I would have been further along. But when I think approx 39 lbs in less than 4 months, I'm doing great. Tomorrow starts week 17. How about you?

  22. Thanks for responding to my blog. I am at the gym 3-4 times a week. I write my weight down on a log every Sunday. I look at 10lbs intervals only because if I had to look at the "LARGE" picture, I think I would get too discouraged. We think alike :). Keep up the good work.

  23. Congrats on your surgery! I wish you the best of luck on your journey. It is not easy, but you are on your way to a fabulous new you.

  24. Hey Rose, how are you doing? So tell me, how are things since your fill? Do you feel restricted? How is your weight loss going? I hope all is great with you.

  25. If you click on my Avatar, it will take you to a page that at the bottom right hand side it will say photo album. You can click on that to see the green shirt photos. You can do this to see anyone's photo albums.
