I think many of us fail to realize just how much pleasure we actually took from eating until we can't stuff ourselves anymore. I know it was a pretty big shock to me after my surgery.

Honestly, statistics show that WLS is generally successful in helping people lose about 1/2 their excess weight. Since you are stuck at about that point, I second talking with a nutritionist. They may be able to suggest a different calorie regime for you or help you phase out some foods that might be hindering losses. Sometimes it just takes a second set of eyes to figure out what's going on

Highly unlikely, but do the incisions bother him?

I'm at 2 months out, and very happy with my decision. It was rough at first, but it gets better.

Ok so someone tells me today that I've lost enought weight because my face looks bad! What? Why would you tell anyone this? Plus my face doesn't look bad! I told her that I liked the way my face looked! Everyone else's tells me how good I look and how much younger I look! Has anyone else had this happen?
Did you reply "Not as bad as your face?"

Holds up to 1000 pounds; should hold just enough for me then. Haha

I've eaten one medium piece of pizza. I didn't die. It was a special lunch with a friend, and it's the only piece of pizza I've eaten since being sleeved. I'm in no rush to do it again. I think you just have to know yourself well enough to know whether its going to set you into a spiral of bad eating or not.

So I don't know if I am the oddball or what..but my boyfriend and I had a very active sex life before surgery and if it is even possible I want it MORE..MUCH MORE..after surgery. The weight loss is part of it but the thing I love is how much more flexible I am and how we can use different positions and how Tanga panties look on me etc.
I will admit that my boyfriend thinks I have lost my ever loving mind and is sometimes afraid to come to my house lol..but I think a lot of this is mental for me' date=' that I want it more because I feel he desires me more.
Work on getting that food and calories in and Multivitamins too! I am 5 months out and drink one shake a day to recover from work outs but I get in around 130 grams of Protein and 1,200 calories. I have so much energy![/quote']
How on earth do you get in 130 grams of protein daily only drinking 1 shake?!?

Are you tracking on MyFitnessPal? If not, you might consider it.

Mine started at 42F...right now they're still round. I'm going to be very sad if they deflate. Last time I lost 100 lbs they just went down to 40D.

What on earth is an egg cream?

I didn't start gaining weight until I moved out on my own at 18. From there, I packed it on like eating was going out of style. I don't know why; I think I'm just a glutton. But I'm on my way to losing it and keeping it off. "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger" and all that jazz...maybe it took becoming obese to put into perspective the fact that I wasn't obese as a teenager. I thought I was; I fretted about it, dieted, and never was good enough for myself. Now I look back and wish I could slap some sense into teenage me.

I try my best not to reply to those posts, lest they become an all out flame-war.

Hide the scale and don't look at it for a while. It's obviously getting into your head, and that's no good!!

I have little glass pinch cups from Pampered Chef. They are perfect

You started out as a lightweight--the weight probably isn't going to come off as quickly as it would for say, someone like me with a high starting BMI. I think you're doing great. Just stick with your guidelines, and you'll be just fine

I just stuck to Soups and Protein Shakes during that time, since I'm vegetarian, too. I found it easier than trying to concoct something
