Hi, Vicki! I'm 53 and my surgery is scheduled for Dec. 9th. I'm a bit anxious about it because they are doing a hernia repair, band removal and VSG. My doctor and nutritionist have told me that the recovery will be longer than for the band. Bummer, LOL! I'm sure it will be worth it, though.
