  1. Hi my name is Janice, I've been a RN for 10 yrs. LVN for 7 years and was a CNA for 7 years. I started when I was 2.

I have worked pediatric , public health, hospice telephone triage, nursing home and currently a MDS coordinator for a nursing home.

I was sleeved July 24 th lost 12 lbs preop and 16lbs post op. I am a revision from lap band and have had several episodes of sliming. Not sure why. , I'm starting to get worried I also have some post nasal drip so I thought maybe that is why. Does anybody start coughing after a couple bites of food. I usually stop eating trying to listen to my body?

  2. I feel like I just won the Texas Lottery, after reading so many post on how hard it is to get approved. I found out today that I am approved and I have a surgery date of July 24th. Which can't come soon enough since I have had some complication from my Lap band. As hard as these past 3 years has been with my band I believe the lessons I've learnt will benefit my new life with the sleeve. Winning the Lottery changes people lives and being sleeved will differently change my life. I have BCBS of TX and hen I called today I was told that my doc office sent the paperwork in on the 5th and it could talk 7-10 business days to get and answer that was at 11:01am and by 3:59pm my doc office was calling me to say I was approved. I was in shock and happy and nervous all at the same time, like a lottery winner. I would have jumped up and down too but I was in the car parked in front of Wal-Mart and have too much port pain. Good Luck to those waiting on approval.

  3. Yes we do. I'm still in the hospital right now post op day 4 infact arguing to go home. Been dry heaving the whole time and I was worried about the same thing. So far no issue with leaks or staples concerns. Surgeon says its mainly lifting that strains the line or overeating. By the way I have kicked out one snarky male charge nurse' date=' fired one ER doctor, and filed a complaint about the transferring nurse not notifying my doctor of my transfer delaying care for 3 hours. Yes, nurses make terrible patients. We are our own worst enemy.[/quote']

I came on today to check on you. Glad to her you are ready to go home. I too am a Nurse. Waiting to get approved for a revision. Praying for your speedy recovery
