  1. Philly, it is quite possible that you won't have to wear them once you reach a certain weight. I wear them however I don't have edema. I wear them so I don't get it! They are also really good for circulation if you stand on your feet all day (which I do). Me? I am hoping my snoring goes away! Best of luck!

  2. My surgery is scheduled for July 21. My doc requested that I go high protein/low carb diet and loose as much weight as possible during surgery.

Question is, what did you eat if you followed this diet plan? And low carbs? How low is too low? He didn't give me a number. I feel like I need a number. Calling the office is difficult because I can't really make calls during the day.

I made out some meal plans for the next few weeks and tried to stick to less than 20 carbs a day. I just feel that is a little low.

    What did your Dr. recommend?

  3. Just wanna send hugs! All will go well! I have heard (and I don't know if it is true) that there is more chance of dying in a car accident than there is in surgery. I work in a OR and I have never seen or heard of a patient dying that wasn't a gun shot or car accident patient. They will want to give you Versed. Take it! It will help with the nerves and you won't remember much from taking it. Hugs some more!
