  1. So Just out of curiosity, how has your life changed since the band? I know that I seem to be on the go soooo much because I feel terrific! I hate sitting around (unless I'm with my best friend). I prefer to go, go, go. I'm doing Water aerobics, raquetball, walking, and I think I might take up jogging soon (don't ask). With the smaller amounts of food you would think I wouldn't have the energy, but it is the complete opposite! I have so much energy! I'm not sure what I love more, the smaller me that is starting to show, or the endless energy I seem to have!

  2. I'm so happy for you!!! I love being banded! It has made such a difference in my life! I can honestly say that I'm really starting to live again for the first time in many many many years. I do all kinds of things I couldn't do before. I love the life God has opened up to me through my surgery! You are going to be so wonderful! I really believe that because I have the Lord with me, my surgery was perfect (the Dr said so) and my recovery was so minimal that I was back on real food in 3 weeks just way less of it and I have lost 20 pounds in the month since surgery! I'm so happy for you! Please keep me posted! I will put you on my prayer list!:)

  3. lismilie, I am SO excited for you! I have been banded now for just over a month and I LOVE it!!! I have lost 20 pounds since surgery (although I was told that was NOT usual as most people don't lose any during the first 6 weeks). I had lost 30 pounds prior to surgery just to make sure I was as fit as possible before surgery so I would have few if any complications. I have never felt better in my life. The band was the best thing other than being saved (I'm a Christian) that ever happened to me. If you have any questions or just want to chat email me! I have my first fill on the 13th so I will say a little prayer for you that day. Good luck you will be terrific! God Bless! Jenni:pray2:

  4. My friend Angela had surgery a year ago and I just had mine 3 weeks ago. I told her how hungery I was all the time and she told me it was a sign of my stomach healing. I'm already up on pretty regular, though well chewed food, and that makes the hunger a little easier to deal with. I can keep my hunger sown by eating food that is a little less liquified and trying to eat at scheduled times. I usually eat around 7:30, noonish, 4:00 and then a snack around 7:30-8:00. I can control the amount and the hunger by keeping these guidelines. Hope this helps
