  1. Okay, I'm going to say it, Angyl, you skinny beotch! lol. YOu know we love ya. You really look good! I know what you mean about the self image. I went shopping for a new dress and automatically grab the bigger sizes. I still have a problem of buying clothes that are too big for me, its like I can't see myself in a smaller size. Anyhow, Congratulations on your success! Sula - I should be on day 3, however, the first day, I screwed up. So, I started it again on Wednesday, so I'm on day 2 again. grrrr. I did make some of the Low Carb pumpkin soup that was on the website, it is really good. I know, it doesn't sound good, but it is! So far, I'm doing good! Ready2Lose - I totally agree with you, its amazing how just .2cc's can make a big/huge/unbelievable difference! I know for me it sure has. Glad you go unfilled and doing better now! Sometimes being too tight can cause us not to lose weight too, so I try and keep that in mind. Juno - how are you doing? Hows the pregnancy going? How is your restriction level and being pregnant? Remember, take your vitamins :biggrin2: Cindi - you go girl, that is so wonderful, you've worked so hard to get where you are, so enjoy your moment! I bet now that you started the scale moving that it will keep moving! Debbie - the pouch test did not happen on Tuesday, I did great all day until the evening time, just went haywire! But I am not giving up, so I re-started it again yesterday. I'm on day 2 and so far its been good. Well - I have some exciting news being given to me today, so I'm waiting to be called into our managment office.....I'm about to get a bonus, but not sure how much, it is anywhere from 5 to 9% of my salary! I've worked hard for it all year long, and today is the day they tell us how much it is. I will get it on my 2/22/08 paycheck. However, its already spent! I've got to my cruise off. Its cold and windy today, so today is a day I'm looking f I hope everyone has a great day today and I will check in later.
  2. Shawn - I missed this post earlier, but Happy Belated Band Anniversary. What a difference a year can make! Just think, next year what changes we will have made. I'm hoping to finally be at goal by then!
  3. Anyone reading this and interested in it, check out www.5daypouchtest.com. You then click on Plan. This site has some good info, even tho she had RNY, a pouch is a pouch. I've started the 5 day pouch test today, so for the next few days, its liquids/cream soups/protein drinks. I figured today was a good day to start since I had a fill. Doc is going to go slower now that I've had problems with my last 2 fills. He filled me up to 3.5cc's. I am hoping I have some restriction for awhile, but not sure, right now I do, but the last time I had good restriction I was at 3.8cc's. But as far as today, I've got restriction. Menu today bfast/Protein drink Lunch - creamed broccoli soup Dinner - protein drink/SF jello I know its not much to eat, but I'm following the plan. I do plan on exercising tonight, but will not enter it until I do it. I will post my fill history later.

  5. I'm in the same boat as you - I do good for a week, then fail for a week. Im trying to get some consistancy going in my life. I don't want to use my knee as an excuse, but I swear it gives me problems if I exercise more than 3 or 4 days a week. Then it sets me back for a week. It is feeling good today, so I have no excuse to not go to the gym! I just got my fill today, so I'm really focussed again. Its a mental thing I think with me. When I know I don't have restriction, seems I just don't try - I eat bad, and I don't exercise. Now that I have restriction, maybe my head will be right!
  6. Girl, go out and celebrate! Go do something good for yourself, you deserve it. Now, as far as your weight, how do you feel? Do feel good at your weight? Do you feel it is a weight you can maintain? If so, then you need to stay where you are at, don't look at those stupid charts. Feel good about yourself, you deserve it!
  7. Debbie - we are a lot of like, even our stats are similar. I just came back from my fill, and he withdrew my current fill and only got about 2.5cc's out, which is normal. They never get out the exact amount they put in, they say because some is still in the tubing? Anyhow, since I've had so much problems with the last two fills and completely closing up, he said he is going to take it a little slower. GRRRR. But I'm really not complaining too much, because I feel some good restriction right now - he filled me up to 3.5cc's and as I'm sipping on some warm coffee this morning, I can hear and feel it slowly gurlgle thru. It's embarrassing as it is loud. lol. I've already called the office and waiting on a call back to schedule my next fill. He said he will fill me up at 1cc or 2 ccs until we get the perfect sweet spot. If my fill appt comes around and I don't feel that I need one, I will just cancel it. But since it takes so long to get into a fill, I'm going to go ahead and schedule it in case this fill loosens up too much. The last time I had really good restriction was at 3.8cc's - and I'm only at 3.5ccs so I'm worried it will get too lose. I am starting the 5 day pouch test today - brought my creamed soup, my skim milk so I can make a protein shake, and trying to cut down on my coffee too.
  8. Yes it did allow for creamed soups. I was planning on starting today, but ran off this morning without my stuff. grrrr. :cursing:. So, needless to say, I didn't start today. I get a fill tomorrow - OMG, yay! So, I plan on starting tomorrow now.
  9. I've never been filled to 4.6 - I have a 4.cc band, however, from my experience, a little can go a long way. I was at 3.8cc's and felt like I needed more restriction because I didn't have to take small bites or chew very well. My doc filled me just .2 cc's and it was extremely tight, I couldn't even swallow my own saliva. So don't worry that you feel like you won't ever get that restriciton. You will be surprised at how a little cc's can do so much. I agree with you, I would love to have two bands, but I would like to have one for my head too!:cursing:
  10. Debbie, I was driving into work this morning and talking to my cousin on the cell phone, and we are going to start the 5 day pouch test next Monday too. So, I'll join you!
  11. Well, I did great last week at the gym, but my knee is swollen again and really hot to the touch, so I've slacked this week and hoping it goes back to normal. I hate not making it to the gym, when I don't make it the gym my eating sucks! Anyhow, hoping by tomorrow it will not be so hot to the touch, I'm icing it down and hoping that will help. I'm avoiding the scales, haven't weighed in awhile. I get a fill next week and hoping this one will finally get it right. I'm so sick of fills/ unfills, fills, unfill. I'm at 3.0 cc's but I know I need right at 3.8 so hoping next week will do the trick.

No gym for the past few days, my knee is swollen and hot, so I'm back to icing it down. grrrrrr. I'm sick of my knee problems! Eating was great last week, this week not so good. Eating too much salt! Had Mexican yesterday and couldn't finish it all, but still, not good and high fat. So, trying to stay focussed today and back to the grind! I go next Tueday for another fill, hoping to get it right this time.

  14. Good Mornin' all and Happy Hump day! Lynn - I do want to either have the "smartlipo" or tummy tuck, most of the docs tell me I don't need one, but we'll see. Sula - exercise went GREAT last week, however, this week haven't been to the gym at all. My knee is swollen and hot, I was thinking to rest it a little bit, however it continues to get worse. It may just be the weather, but not sure. I keep icing it down and hoping to get back to the gym soon. I'm so lathargic when I don't go to the gym, and I notice my eating sucks. When I go to the gym, it keeps me focussed. I go for another fill next Tuesday and I'm hoping and praying I finally get some good restriction and no more problems. This sucks! Well, I owe, I owe, I owe, so off to work I go..........
  15. loridee - that is GREAT! Keep posting so you can help encourage us!
  16. I've been on a pity me part too, so lets do this together! We can do it and Steve will be wishing he had you, but it will be too late
  17. Thank you Dr. JLo. I really didn't know if they were the same or not. I'm glad you clarrified it.
  18. I heard about Dr. Masters from Channel 6 news. She was the first to bring it to Tulsa. I haven't heard about the Dr. Gurthrie, but I'm anxious to hear what he says. So please come back and post about your visit. Who did you Lap Band surgery?
  19. Tami - I think it is.
  20. Sorry I haven't posted, but I have been reading all the links, thank you so much for posting them. Reading this has helped me in making the decision to wait just a bit longer. I think smartlipo is better if you have lost most of your weight, and are pretty much at goal but ready to "tone" or get rid of some of the problem areas. With that being said, I'm about 25 lbs from goal, so I thought I would wait until I reached about 155 and then try and get it done. Very few people are unhappy with their results, but the people that were unhappy either didn't get the sucktion with the laser, and/or they were not at or near their goal weight - still had 30+ pounds to lose. Thanks again.
  21. Well, I have my quote in writing and it is good for 1 year. I do think the price must be negotiable. I came into her office with all the facts and other quotes - so she knew I knew the price. I don't know, maybe she knew I was serious and gave me the deal, but that is what she quoted me for the entire body to contour. I have decided to wait until I lose more weight, although she tried to talk me into doing it now, and saying it will help with weightloss. However, from everything I have read, they can only suction out so much, (about a pop can) at one time, so, I know I have more than that, so I'm going to wait until I reach about 155 lbs. They didn't even quote me for 1 area, she just came in and looked at me and told me all the great things she could do. I really want to have it done, but I'm going to wait until maybe April. Or, it will be end of year. The one thing I'm torn on is do it here, or go to the Dr. in Mexico, from everything I've read, she takes her time and creates a masterpiece. Where the doc here where I live, its finished I think in 30 min or so. So, I'm still debating.

This morning, I was up 4 min before the alarm went off! It was cold outside, snow was coming down and I thought about staying in bed. I kept laying there and I finally said to myself "either I go to exercise this morning, or I have to go tonite". I really didn't want to go tonight because the snow will be worse, so I got up, and headed to the gym. I'm so happy I did. My plan for today: Exercise - 5:00 am - 20 min HIIT Elliptical, 10 min Recumbant bike Exercise 2 - 3:00 pm - strength training, arms - biceps, triceps Menu - Bfast coffee with cream 1 piece of extra dark chocolate - (52 calories) Lunch South Beach Frozen dinner - 220 calories Snack Apple with pnut butter - 140 calories Dinner Still undecided - but probably fish Okay - I feel like my attitude is doing great, I feel like I am beating the carb demons and I will succeed. I am not letting my "no restriction" be an excuse any longer. I have to take control. Since I've been eating smaller portions, I think my band seems to be working better too. Weird, when we use the band as a tool, it does work. Its only when we lean on the band to do everything that it doesn't. Okay - back to work I go. PS - I wore my size 8 coat today to work, and it's weird to say, its not even tight today. I know, I know, it could have not happened overnight, but I swear, I feel like I have lost 20 lbs. I Know that I was swollen from water weight, and I just ended TOM, but inches are finally coming off again. I feel so good to be back in conrol!

  24. I guess the best advice I could give is stick with the rules. I notice when I sway from the band rules, I am not successful. Following the rules is key! Best wishes to you!
  25. I am staying on plan today because I don't want to go off of it!
