i just got done talking to my nutritionist about this. i have pretty good restriction...but i nee to eat! i asked her and she said, "if you are working out as much as you are, you are going to need to eat more!" i said okie doke! so i eat my less than 4 oz for my meals and then i usually have a small healthy snack in between meals an sometimes in the evening. and it has not sabotaged my weight loss at all! good luck and i hope you find that happy medium soon!

when you reach proper restriction you will not be able to even take a sip. there will be much pain! hang in there. for me when I started the journey, I just didn't set a drink @ my place @ the table. you'll get there! :puke:

sorry to be blunt...and I may get fried for this....but WTH are you doing?! are you trying to 1) sabatoge yourself 2) get a slip less than two weeks after surgery or 3) completly ignore everything you have read and been told by your doctor?
I get frustrated at posts like these...sorry. but there are guidlines for a reason...FOLLOW THEM!!!! and please don't come back crying in a few months that you haven't lost any weight.

I just have to say this....WHY MUST THERE BE candy EVERYWHER?! hahaha I'm telling you, its everywhere I look...and taunting me. I have done sooo well staying away from sweets and sugar (60lbs since 5/20!) but I just don't know if I can hold strong till halloween. hahaha one of my clients brougt me a "goody bag" yesterday...more like an "everything in here is naughty bag". oh goodness. I need to go put on my blinders.....

i'll skip my period for two months and then have my period for 3 straight weeks....my obgyn says its very normal. I'm thankful that I did have that long cycle because she decided to chck my ovaries and stuff to make sure everything was ok. during that she found something not too good (not related to long period) and so now I am havung surgery in a few weeks. she said I would not have ever known I had this.

cute workout clothes always make it more enjoyable....i buy it almost whenever I buy lingerie (i know its weird...must be the "sexy" thing. i've lost 60 lbs since may and am actually loving working out. I feel so much better about myself. the more you go, the more comfortable you will get. my hubby and I workout together (he is very fit and toned) and he informed me he saw a guy checking me out!!! what?! me?! hahaha I about died...and my hubby was proud. hope to lose another 50 lbs or so!

"I don't run for fun".....this is my motto in life. hahaha but when it comes to starting some new type of exercise I got that! takes me about 4 weeks to really start getting in the groove. never really swam and started doing that, started pilates, zumba and weight lifting. each was a complete live and learn experience! but, I finally got comfortable. goodluck!

dawn, the first stime you eat something and the vomit/slime you should stick to clear fluids for 24 the 48 hours. you are just going to make the situation worse and worse. hope you feel better this weekend!

this is why I feel so blessed that i see my doctor and my nutrionist every 4 weeks.....im sorry today wasn't the greatest! hang in there. my doc said sometimes it takes time for our bodies to get what we're doing to it. keep up the good work and all the rule following!

zeniada....i hated it too! but I knew I HAD to do it. so I did it. I started walking one mile 3x a week and afte awhile that got easy so I increase it to more...and more and more...so now 9 months after I started I walk 4 miles 3x a week. well then I wanted to do something fun so I tried out zumba...just went once a week and loved it so much I go 3x a week...know what motivates me to go? the changes in my body! my hips and abs and thighs are getting smaller cuz I'm losing weight, but they are getting very nicely shaped cuz I'm exercising. well then hubby got P90X and I decided I needed to do it for my arms and back areas. soooo I went from never ever exercising to going 6 days a week of cardio and 3 days a week of weights (yes, 3 days a week I work out for 2 hours!) and my body is really showing the hard work (even thoug I have technically 40 more lbs to lose....my goal is a size 8 pant....i think i'll reach that before weight goal)
you can do it! sart small and you may actually surprise yourself

have you tried edemamae hummus? has more Protein the regular hummus. my favorite is the one from kroger off the olive stand

5 months out and 60 lbs down....i am finally confident enough to "do it" with the lights on. heheheh to be honest the lights never go off now....sorry if this is tmi!
outwardly I was never afraid to do stuffor talk to people....butwhen I walked away I just knew they were talking about me. I was a master at faking it (my confidence that is haha) around people...now I have that real confidence!

I know what it is! haha the its the vagal nerve (sp?) if too full it will put presuure on that nerve and cause the back discomfort
-
of course I will! can you pm me your email address? most of the pants are from jcpenny and kohls. I'm happy to be in smaller sizes, but I felt I had super cute clothes...so I'm a little bummed to start all over...haha

has anyone sold clothes on e-bay or craigslist? were you successful. I have probably 10 pairs of size 18 and 20's mostly all new....hoping to maybe make some cash!

it makes me sad to hear people not having support
I could not have done this without it! so kudos and applause to all of you who have done it on your own!!!

adding weigts to your weekly workout routine will help tons. not in just the losing (more lean muscle helps with your metabolism overall) but it will help your toning. saggy skin is a side affect of major weight loss, so toned muscles help the skin not look so saggy. I do cardio 6 days a week and some sort of weight training 4 days a week. I just started the p90x and love it!

when my thyroid is too high I get the most horrible headaches! has she lost weight in her pre-surgery diet? because any amount of weight loss will affect the thyroid levels. hope she feels better! and you are a great sis for being so supportive and concerned

since we're not supposed to take advil I take an over the counter diuretic during my cycle...it helps with the swelling. def talk to your doc first though!

I only initially told my parents hubby and MIL and my boss. after my surhery I told everyone who would listen! I just didn't want people to give me their opinions that's why I didn't tell beforehand. I take a picture monthly and post it on Facebook and wrote on my blog about it. everyone has been soooo supportive! (except for one very opinonated person) all my clients are so supportive and encouraging....and I have had multiple people tell me that I have inspired them to get off the couch and do something about their weight. I can't imagine keeping this great thing a secret....
-
just out of curiosity why would you want to do that?

I have days where I feel like I'm saving money and days where I feel it going in the trash! haha since I am eating waaaay less I'm not holding up my "end of the deal" when it comes to leftvers...i just don't eat a lot. I get a little sad when I clean the fridge out every monday and see the food I throw away :smile2: BUT! the grocery bills over all are a lot less....and I am ot buying my lunch out as much either (went from 5 days a week to around 2 days). you should start taking that extra $75 a week and tuck it away for some new clothes!!! I've spent so much on that! haha
dang you halloweem candy....
