  1. Today was a real bummer of a day! I worked till midnight last night then slept in this morning. I had to run pay bills and buy groceries before work today. I was supposed to work a 6-11 shift My husband called to tell me he would be working late so I could take the kids to sitter before work. I dropped them off and got about 3 miles and my truck just stopped I was able to coast off the road and into the school parking lot and it wont even crank now!!:cursing:I had my sitter come pick me up and take me home. It frustrates nme so much when things just happen like that the truck has been running fine not at all any different than usual. So now Im here at home when I should be working. Just hope I dont get wrote up when I go back in that will really frustrate me!! So that has been my bad day just needed to vent !!!!!

  2. I plan on setting a appointment with my primary care Dr this month to check blood levels . I had it done in nov. But im very restricted right now and have lost 95lbs since then. Also havn't had depo since Nov. but last time I stopped it took 1 year to concieve I figure I have about 6 mo. to make sure my body is ready.

  3. I would suggest that you go to a seminar and when you get to the question and answer part ask the surgon how long after child birth does he reccomend waiting for the surgery. Some Dr wont do it till a year or more because of the scar tissue left if you have c-section. The time may be different for a uncomplicated vaginal birth.

That will at least give you a idea of the time frame if you do it after pregnancy.

You may want to do it before and give your body time to recover from your miscarriage and get the vitimins in your system. There is a forum here with lots who are pregnant with the band.

I am trying for my 3rd and last at 36 so I can understand some of the fears you may have.

  4. I think lots of talk and getting your partner informed will be of great benefit to you just dont push to hard. I have talked to several people at my support group meetings who have divorced or split since being banded. the changes one was going through without the other spouse caused them to feel left behind and neglected. Especially for those who eating out was their "thing to do " befor banding. Try to include your partner in all the things your going through and assure them that even though the out side you may change you still feel the same on the inside and everything will work out in time.

  5. Don't be scared to try any thing. Everyone has different tolerences for different foods. I have never had a problem with rice but breads and some pastas give me a hard time but some days I can eat any thing with out a problem. For me its different every day as to what I can easily eat so dont be scared and totally avoid any thing or you will get frustrated at being banded and bored with your food choices just take it one meal at a time and take it slowly every day.

  6. I to do the same thing when I feel stuck or really full. I cant stand the feeling I get when I have ate one bite to many and it feels like the food is setting there trying to decide up or down.

I have several times gone to throw up just to get the feeling to go away. I have to really force myself to stick it out and let the food go down on its own.

I have not brought it up to my DR. in fear he will want to unfill a little. But I am trying really hard not to keep doing this.

Just wanted to let you know you are not alone.

  7. I have had my band for 2 years and I do still gulp Water when I am really thirsty. Usually with no problems. Recently I have had a couple of times when it has came back up that is usually shortly after I have ate and gulped shortly after. As for the wine I know lots of people who still drink after the band its just reccomended not to or to take it easy because of the calories and that lots of weight loss patients will roll thier food addictions over to alchol.

  8. I just wanted to know if any of you had or currently taking any special Vitamins before you concived. I know I should be asking my Dr but just wanted to hear what everyone else was doing for themselves. Im 36 years old and we are going to try for one more child before I get in the higher risk stages. I am still at 285lbs down 95 since surgery ,My band is really tight and have to push it to get in over 1000 calories. Im a little scared that if I concieved right now I could have some nutritional issues. I worry about spina bifida and other birth defects caused by nutritional deficiancies. Any suggestions or Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  9. I think everyone is a little different on the full feeling. I dont really ever feel hungry any more "physically". If I am really busy and doing lots of running around I can go all day with out eating. I have been this way for about the last 6 mo. zzzi think it really depends on how tight your band is on the level of hunger you may feel since it is located close to the nerve that sends the hunger message to your brain.

  10. If you are having a pain on the right side you may have gall bladder issues. I have gall stones and have a pain in the same area you described. I also have some of the same issues with eating you are talking about I do know at times its because I ate to late the night before or sometimes its because I dont get in enough Water and get dehydrated. these may be some reasons you are having this problem. Check with Dr on the gall bladder it does sound like it could be the cause.
