    Puree's are YUCKY!!

I made a big pot of stew for the family and pureed some of that for myself. Actually, I was surprised - it tasted EXACTLY like stew, just pureed, and I quite liked it. We were traveling for about 5 days, which I found difficult, but in one hotel restaurant, the soup was ham with spring vegetables, and I asked them to puree the soup for me - it was WONDERFUL, tasted just like it should, I could taste the ham and it was great! If it's a 'texture' thing with you, you'll have to figure it out, but it's only for a week or 2, so try not to sweat it.
  2. Hi folks, I'm new to this forum, so let me introduce myself. My name is 'Jan'. I had my lapband surgery on April 20th. I've had my 2nd fill, which puts it at 5cc's. I'm hoping that this will be the sweet spot for me. This certainly is a learning curve. Really hard to relearn how to eat and when to eat after 52 yrs of an existing behaviour but I'm going to give it my 'all'. I'm down 48lbs, since I started with the pre-op liquid diet, and I'm happy with my progress so far. Wish it was more, but "I'll take it". I'm hoping that I learn a whole bunch of stuff from these boards and this site - I'm glad I found you all! I'm a 'forum kinda gal'....participate of a few others, but this if my first (and so far, only) lap band forum! Hola!
  3. Hi, newbie here! I just had my second fill - which puts me at 5cc's. I'm noticing that I get stuck more often, but I think that's my own stupidity for not paying attention to size, and chewing...but, my question is; how can you call it a sweet spot if you can hardly eat anything? I don't 'get' that. I would think your sweet spot is that place where you can eat your 1cup meal, feel satisfied, and not be hungry for another 3 hours or so. At least this is what the nurse and I discussed. I'm hoping that I'll be at my sweet spot with this last fill, but it's all up to me now isn't it? Just have to pay more attention to what I'm eating, and HOW I'm eating. Things that are 'easy' for me to eat are; Tuna salad Seafood salad Any mixed salads pickles fish eggs chicken if it's moist etc etc etc Have always been taught - Protein FIRST...then the rest of the stuff (which is hard for me, because I'd rather have salad type stuff first!~)
