  1. ... just my opinion ... info on the device is in the thread already ... it was more of a "what is this body bugg all about" towards the beginning. not sure if anyone really wants to type out something they've already typed out before ... **shrug**
  2. that's the great thing about this board though - SO MUCH information already on it ...
  3. Donna, jachut is down under - just starting "summer"
  4. Suzzzie, yeah, that's what i was thinking too. maybe a few days before turkey day we can start another thread. that way we'll have the Thanksgiving starting weights.
  5. rain, well that's frustrating ... i think 9 lbs is realistic... of course i am losing the same 1 pound over and over the past 3 days... **sigh**
  6. dawn, can you give us an idea of your typical running week? I am at the gym now - stretching ... dont wanna run yet. my body is achy. sigh.
  7. bear - lots of info about the bugg is already on this thread hint - start with page 1 post 2.
  8. 13 month pics. down about 139-ish pounds. 80-ish to go.
  9. the only time that's happened to me (nausea, sweats, etc) is when i didnt get enough cals in me ... did you maybe eat too much and were about to maybe PB? were you sliming? the slime would make me feel like crap... dont worry about it - take it easy for a day or two. how many days were you running in a row? if more than every other day, maybe cut it down whos - of course you've been missed!! hope your trip is going well
  10. Marieze, you may want to check out this thread as well http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f15/thread-super-sized-bandsters-starting-bmi-over-50-a-16168/
  11. disneyrunning.com will post more, but going for my first step class in AGES. pray for me.
  12. I first started on the t-mill for about 6-8 mins so I know where you are coming from....
  13. Nina, Search the exercise threads for Couch to 5K. we are in weeks 1 thru 4 now. if you'd like to start, you are more than welcome (start at week 1). ANYONE is more than welcome to join us.
  14. i agree with everyone who has posted ... i've seen it happen in so many people. for me it has been exercising (granted not 6 hours a day, but 1 hr - 90 mins a day 6 days a week minimum). and now it's running and finding races ... i am obsessed with finding a good 5K race i can start. i dont care if i come in dead last, it would be an accomplishment just to finish!!
  15. im the same way with ice cream ... pre-band, i could take or leave it... the past month or so, i REALLY want it...
  16. thanks ... posting it definitely makes it more "real" ... i think i am addicted to running though. i'm actually crazy enough to think about running the "Minnie (as in mouse) marathon" in May 08. it's only 15KM/9 miles, but i will need some sort of training base for the wacked out 26.2 miles in Jan09... might as well be that. the good thing about the WDW marathons, you only need to have a 15-17 minute mile (4 - 3.something MPH). technically, you could do it walking - and some have. im soo excited. it gives me something to strive for ... either running on the dreadmill (i can chant M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E over and over) or eating well ... same chant ... nice distraction!
  17. oh yes, forgot that (read it at 3am sunday when i couldnt sleep)
  18. not possible ... wasa must visit here 24/7 for her entire recovery period... i'd miss her way too much if she didnt post. as to what to do after you've read and responded to all the interesting posts here ... reading? (boring, i know) ... i never said i was an exciting person
  19. only to get my big bottom off the couch ... where is Whos??
  20. i agree with Jacqui, on the outside you are beautiful.
  21. **sigh** i am gunna catch hell for that one, but after reading it four times today, i guess i just snapped. i'll change in back in a few days.
  22. Marie, you pretty much described me pre-band. everything from holding on to get up in the middle of the night to holding on hunched over the shopping cart. additionally, i would have DH drop me off at the entrance. that was 13 months ago.. today i run (RUN!!! ... me!! run!!!) and am planning on participating in the Disney Marathon in 2009. so far i have lost about 139 pounds, i have about 83 more to go. this has been the best decision i have made for myself - ever. i love life. i play with my daughter now. i love living life instead of being a spectator.
  23. I, LosingJusme, will be running in the Walt Disney World Marathon in January 2009. "they say" (whoever they are) that you need to publish your goals and be accountable, so here i am.
  24. yup, happens to me often. my restriction changes almost daily. sometimes taking out just .1 cc helps. but be careful, you dont want to be too loose.
