  1. Trixie, DH and I are starting the same thing. we were just spending mindless hours in front of the TV. now we try to interact with eachother, instead of just sitting there.
  2. i do that all the time. i have pants that i bought a few months ago that were on sale and they were 2 sizes smaller than what i was wearing at the time. i looked at a pair yesterday and said to myself, there is no possible way i can squeeze my gut into those. they fit and they fit well, maybe even a tad loose. i make an effort to try on my size 6XL pants once a month just to show myself how far i've come. if im depressed cause the scale just.wont.budge, i try those on and it generally changes my demeanor.
  3. i know your DH is banded so food related could be tricky... write him a note or a card and just tell him how you feel about him and have it come from the heart. how he makes you feel special, how you enjoy seeing him come home from work, etc...
  4. i dont like the food tracking portion of their website either. i use My Food Diary :: Online Calorie Counter w/ Diet Journal & Exercise Log and dont even bother with adding my food there. i can see that i've burned 3500 cals and consumed 1200 from the other website and just do the math.
  5. rhymes with blunt.
  6. i went to my training appointment yesterday and although the weight is not dropping too much, the inches are dropping. since last month, i've lost the following: chest 3/4 inch upper arm 3/4 inch waist 3/4 inch thigh 1/4 inch calf 1/4 inch my body fat percent is about 32.3% (cant remember exact cause im at work), 'normal' is 31.9%... i'm getting there!!!
  7. we are getting closer and closer to our days!! how are you guys feeling? anxious, excited, nervous... yup, all of those for me. i cannot wait for my surgery. SO very excited, on 41 days for me. Nina, are you back from France yet? how did your pre-op go?
  8. there's already a fairly active group that's established. DFWBandsters : DFW Bandsters
  9. OMG - Dr. LoMonaco is a member here!?? wow! welcome!
  10. jfran, i hear ya!! just keep plugging away, the body will eventually give up and let those pounds go. you have done a truly amazing job!!
  11. OMG BBK, i am so sorry. the nerve of some people.
  12. thanks. i just noticed - you are 4 pounds from goal! woooo hoooo!!!
  13. new skin looks great! cant wait to try the chat room, looks so much better than the old one. thanks so much for your dedication to this board. it is really appreciated.
  14. wow, that is pricey!! i found a business who does custom orders as well, of course, now i cant find the link. i think i posted it somewhere. was it comfortable? uncomfortable? did you feel like your insides were going to come plopping out without it on?
  15. i asked my PS's office about it and they it was a good idea, but an urban legend ??? dunno if i believe that, but i've got about 200 feet just waiting to be discarded of ...
  16. angelnurse, thanks! where did you get your garment? my surgeon only gives a binder and i cant imagine that giving me enough support. i guess im just used to wearing 'sucker-inners' that i'd feel lost without a complete garment.
  17. O...M...G!! size 8??:pray2: that is just amazing! Congratulations!
  18. i am staying on plan today cause i have restriction!! (and 42 days til my tuck!)
  19. angel, thanks for your input! my old navy pants came in and they fit fine now, but have a full drawstring. i did get 1 or 2 pair 1 size smaller. do you think i'll have issues with the drawstring around my waist with the TT incision so low? thanks!! all else fails, i can wear my DH's pants (he weighs maybe 160 at 6'2") ... :wink2: (size large in mens ... LMAO - yeah, me... in my DH's pants ... heh, not that way you pervs :pray2:)
  20. thanks Lulu... im still a 39 :rolleyes:B so i think i have a ways to go before i can fit... i'll get there though!!
  21. lulu, what size do they go up to, do you remember? thanks!
  22. nana, that is so great that you are lucid ... lol. i expect to be heavily sedated the first couple of days. i guess the pain isnt too bad if you are only taking 1/2 pain pills. do you have to walk hunched over or can you walk straight up? my surgeon says straight up is where he wants me to be, so that's going to be "fun"... but im lucky and my doctor uses special suture technique and doesnt use drains.
  23. good idea, thanks wheetsin! the only reason i thought pants is cause i get SOOOO incredibly cold now with the weight loss. and i remember several weeks after lap banding i was FREEZING even more than now, i guess from being put under... ???
  24. hope you are feeling better. good luck with the Lasik!!
  25. i am really thrilled to announce i bought some fleece type pajama bottoms at tar-jay on clearance for about 4 bucks each... mens XL praying that they would fit after i get my gut wacked... they fit NOW ... from a womens 6XL to a mens XL... teee!!!
