    October 2006 Bandsters!

MS883 - when are you hungry? i found that i was really hungry in the middle of the night. i would wake up almost every hour because i was so hungry. my 2nd night home i made some jello and put it in 1/2 cup containers, brought it to bed w/ me and i found 1 - 2 (baby sized_ spoonfuls helped SO much. good luck, you can do this! losing jusme

How do the numbers DROP so fast?

i can say after my 28 lb loss so far (banded 10/9) my BP has dropped. i was a 'high normal' and now i'm 'normal' ... whatever that means ..
  11. hello. i've heard different opinions and i'd love to get your feedback... how often do you weigh yourself? i've heard weighing everyday will keep you on track and you will know where you stand.. i've also heard (and this is what i am finding) is the body fluctuates so much that weight loss or gain can vary so much. i step on my scale, it will register something, step off, turn it on again and it will be up or down anywhere from 1/2 to 5 pounds. talk about frustrating!!! :censored: thanks, losing jusme 402.5/396/370??/180 09 Oct 2006
  12. hi, i just found this great thread!! i started out 59.4 BMI (5'9" 402). i am 2 weeks post op today and am down to about 55.2 BMI (374ish depending on the time of day). i am feeling great and i even went to work out this morning before work. only did less than 10 mins on the treadmill and then some leg something or other w/ weights. it wasnt much, but it is a start! good luck to everyone! losing jusme 402/374/180???

    October 2006 Bandsters!

i was banded on the 9th and am just getting around to posting here ... sorry!! i am doing pretty good. down just about 30 pounds from my pre-op weight (i have a L O N G way to go). my doctor released me to solids on thursday and my weight loss has slowed significantly. i am really not too hungry but going from eating nothing to eating 2 - 2 1/2 meals a day it's a big difference i guess. i am starting to realize just how easy fish is to cook. best of luck to all of us. losing jusme...

    Gotta Fly-Embarassing Question

i am a BIG (just banded) girl... starting weight was 402.5 and 5x bottoms. i fit, but it was VERY uncomfortable. i definitely needed an extender (just ask the flight attendant as you board. it may take them a bit to get it to you, they use those extenders for the the demo. don't worry about it, you will do fine. have a great flight. losing jusme

    Energy Level

i felt the same way my 2nd and 3rd day. make sure you are getting your "food" in (SF lime Jello was my savior!!). make sure you are getting Protein in (that was what was wrong w/ me). i drink either skim milk or my Isopure and that gets the energy level up. good luck, losing jusme

Newbie question - Nauseous when hungry?

hi, i was just banded monday (09 Oct) and do have that nausea feeling. what i've been doing is having a 1/2 cup of SF Jello next to my night table and if i wake up starving i eat a spoon or 2 (the spoon is an old infant spoon from my daughter). i usually have about 1/3 to 1/2 of the container and it really helps me. good luck! losing jusme www.losing-jusme.com
