hi Living, thanks for responding. im one of those oddballs (heh - imagine that) who did not move when i was fat. i would ask DH to get up off the couch to get me something to eat/drink... pathetic. im now running and love it ... i agree with the bodybugg. it is the perfect compliment to the band.

    losingjusme goes for plastics

oh nina, now that i re-read it, HIGHLY offended ...:wink: not. and to be honest, no i cannot imagine how i am going to be after my surgery. i dont remember not having a gut - - ever. even when i was in 2nd grade my belly was there. granted it wasnt as huge as it was/is now, but i've always had a belly... i have worked my ass off, but lately i've been slacking and the scales have shown it. even running this Saturday.... i go a mile run/walk combo and stop at a mile. and i am supposed to do a 9 mile marathon in May? dunno if i will make it. my DH ran 4.44 miles Saturday and it was his 3rd time out running... i feel like such a loser sometimes (and not in the good kind of way either). i am really excited for all of us and cant wait to hear how everyone does. **blush** Thanks Tami. you have been quite an inspiration to me for awhile now.. me weight loss is minimal lately. in fact, since August 13th, i've lost less than 20 pounds. my weight this morning was 263. last Monday, i was 267, so i may be getting my act together, but who knows??? eating crap and not working out is not a good combination... i go in for a fill tomorrow, hopefully that will help. ideally, i wanna drop another 16 pounds before surgery. my legs have gone down quite a bit with the weight loss. quite a bit of loose skin on my thighs - will have to be taken care of with more plastics im sure.. i am running now but cant go more than 3 mins without slowing down. but i run about 5.2-5.4 MPH when i run and my walking pace is 4.5-4.8. keep up with the running, it does help shaping the legs... as does strength training.

    need an airplane seatbelt extender?

hi MM, well, i've flown 4 times without it. i kind of feel like it is part of my big girl clothes.... i got rid of those as well. no use hanging onto them cause im not going to get to that size again, its almost an incentive NOT to gain weight, ya know? if i gain weight, i'll have to buy an entire wardrobe - again. and i dont want to do that. i only kept a few clothes that i slip into when im feeling like crap. they let me see how far i've come. congrats on 100 lbs!

Am I too fat for a trainer?

i agree ... no way! i dunno how much you weigh, but i started with my trainer when i was about 380. she told me to sit on the ball and i laughed at her. i did and surprise, surprise, it didnt pop!

Hi Tami, i am still getting in tons of Protein. i've decided to do 1 day shakes (when i find one i that doesnt make me gag), 1 day food, etc... shakes only was making just that ... shakey ... and i literally could not move last night i was so tired... we have a recliner that is a PITA to get out of, i think what i'll do is just put an ottoman (sp?) so my legs are propped up and i may even put a wedge pillow for my knees too... who knows? i was fine with sleeping in bed after LB. i even started sleeping on my tummy (port side) the 2nd or 3rd day. i am definitely a tummy sleeper, not sure how im going to sleep after TT!! thanks for the comprehensive list. all i have right now is a big long list of URLs... thanks!!! C

Excercise?... you want me to do what?

walking? i was told to walk as much as possible after surgery. the 4th or so day i was outside going to the mailbox and back ... neighbors must have loved the show.... 'serious' treadmill walking? after my post op appt. my doctor basically said, try it, if it hurts, stop. but no ab exercises for 4-6 weeks.

yup, im a plug wearer, i was actually too big for pads for so long, i just stopped wearing them and never went back. yeah, w/ TT & mons lift, i was basically told to check my dignity at the hospital entrance i've already prepared DH that he may have to do everything for me and i told him that may involve taking care of when i ummm, yaknow, and during TOM. he said he's OK with that, im not going to ask again cause that question was difficult enough the first time... i've read that swelling can continue up to 6-8 months after surgery, i wear a 'sucker-inner' now anyway and to be honest, i think i'd feel lost without one... even if it's not a medical compression garment, i think i'll be wearing one for quite awhile. plus the one that i wear now helps with hips and thighs too! LOVE the Avenue shapewear. i am just starting to fit into the 14/16 shapewear though and that's as low as they go... not sure what i'm gunna do after that....

Excercise?... you want me to do what?

yes... YES ... YES!! i started out very slow (about 7-8 mins on the treadmill at 2MPH), every day i went to the gym, i increased it by 2 or more minutes. i can now run/walk/run combo for 30+ minutes. i honestly think it helped 100fold with the weight loss. for example - when first banded i was working out 6-10 times a week and weight was flying off of me (about 65 pounds in 2 months). now, im not working out nearly as much as i should and ... well, the weight isnt coming off either. get out there, start slow, take it easy and dont hurt yourself... but PUSH yourself as far as you can ... it's great to sweat!

    Resting Heart Rate

my resting HR has dropped significantly as well. pre-op i was about 90-92 bpm, now it's norm is about 55ish, but it has dropped lower than that when i am literally doing nothing but sitting on the couch not moving.
