    I agree with both gals, esp with the bowels. Drink water, and walk, You will be fine. I was scared also. But we all make it and kind of laugh at ourselves for being so scared. It is normal.

    Wow. I thnk you need several fills. I thnk you need to measure your food.. I guess it is ok to have the wine. (you will do it anyhow) Watch the calories it has though. Are you eating bread? or any of the other things that we are not supposed to eat???::::: bread, rice, Pasta. Cookies, bagels, pies, candy, Potatoes, Didn't your doctor give you a list of what not to eat? or what to eat? Dont worry you have a great bunch of people here.. We wont let this happen anymore. But what about your fills and restriction? Let us know...

    Had surgery 2 years ago. I am 64 in a few weeks. was 256-now 167 5ft 6 in. 15 months I walk 3 miles a day. and Water aerobic 3x week.

    Since your restriction might not get here so soon. You might want to be mindfull of those carbs. Push Protein and lower your carbs. Carbs make you crave more carbs. Keep thinking about the healthy body on the way with out those sweets and carbs. best of luck.

    Up your protein. Lower your carbs..I hope that you have given up your bread and all white flour stuff. Keep exercising and drink water. Measure your food. Talk to the doc.

    Please slow down when drinking or eating. Plan on trying to find different places to write or email to and ask for samples of shake powders. I am drinking right now a Atkins advantage dark chocolate Royale shake. 15 gr Protein 1 grm sugar, 160 calories and 2 gr net carbs. It is 11 fl oz. Please have an open mind for your protein shakes cause you will be doing them for the rest of your life. Protein keeps you full. Helps you lose weight, helps with your muscles, Helps prevent your hair from falling out. If you do not have the band, your protein shke would not have filled u up. You drank too fast. This is why people get sick. You will be eating and drinking slower. And you will need to chew your food. I wish you best of luck.     Best of luck to you. You will still be able to eat food. Just not as much and not the junk that got you where you are now. It will be your choice and you will most likely do the correct choice. This is a good opportunity for you to change your life and be healthy. You will also be much happier, feel better and look better. Sounds like a win win to me. And it was I will be 64 next month- less 89 lbs and still counting. At this time in my life when i look at me being size m from size 2x.   9. Hello Roni. While I don't live in Texas. I do have friends there and a sister in law. I will be happy to be your friend and support. I had the surgery 2 years ago. Lost 89 lbs.     IT will be surgery time sooner than you both think. Think of it this way: 1shake = 1 meal. I had 1 Breakfast, 1 lunch 1 food meal. chicken, fish, meat. Tuna, eggs, Keep drinking Water during the day. veggies are fine. stay away from carbs like bread, you will be giving up bread, rice, Pasta, noodle, potatoes, cake, Cookies, candy, pie, bagels, I recomend that you invest in a book that lists carbs, calories, Protein. Fiber. Didn't they tell you anything? I also had rotton support. And I was self pay. Keep asking questions. I will be happy to help if needed. lizybird@aol.com

    get some stool softners. and get suppositores. Try to go with any pain you might have and dont have too may pain pills.

    I wondered why you would be eating potato chips? Did you look at the carbs? Those are high in carbs. They have no protein, viamins, fiber, they are carbs. Carbs make you FAT~ they don't help you lose weight. Protein is what you need to help you lose weight. Protein stays with you, You should have in protein:1/2 of your body weight. if you weigh 180 have 90. Keep your carbs low. For example: For breakfast I will have a yogurt. Greek is the best, Okios or Chopani. fat free Ricotta cheese. Or plain greek yogurt with sugar free jelly.Or 2 egg whites or 2 eggs.(eggs are protein) I make an omlette with cheese. I also might add to the omlete spinich, peppers, Bacos Sometimes I just have shake. Sounds like you need a fill. Do you have any restriction? Lunch. Some tuna, some cheese and slices of turkey. mayonaise. lettuce and tomato. NO BREAD. Dinner: 2 oz of salmon., spinich, asparagus, green beans, what ever you want. NO BREAD, NO POTATOES, NO PASTA, NO RICE, PIZZA, NO CAKE NO, COOKIES, NO PIE, NO CANDY. When u eat. eat your protein first and if you have room you can have veggies. NO BREAD no chips. Do you have a book for protein, carbs and calories? I have Caloriekings. Or you can go on line calorieking.com. Every one has to have some carbs. But your chips> for 1 oz is 15..too much and the salt. omg. i am hoping that others will tell you how many calories you should have. Some of us have 1200. Some less. I told you about the protein. But the carbs should be maybe 60 per day/ less. go to Atkins.com. sign up for their books and you will get some free bars too. If you want to lose weight. push protein. lower your carbs. Exercise everday. Continue with the water. Eat only 1 cup of food at a sitting. Get a fill. Eat slowly and chew. DO NOT CHEAT> I don't know how much more you want to lose but I lost 89 lbs in 15 months. I am 63 years old. READ labels. ask questions. dump the chips. I hope that you are not drinking soda pop. I will help you if you want. Didnt your doc give you a list of the right and wrong foods to eat? Do you have a support group to go to? I never had a support group.

    You should lose 2lbs per week at the start. Hope you will walk to get rid of the gas. So happy for you. Anxious for you to let us know you are done. Cant wait to meet you. dont overdue your pain pills. you will get constipated big time from them. I have bnd for 2 years.

    Per Otters38 it is a piece of cake. If you follow the rules, that will be the last piece of cake you will have. A MILLION years ago my grandma died on the operating table, she had her varicose veins done. I was alway afraid to go under also. When I had my tubes tied, I panicked. This surgery was a breeze. I have 5 cuts. They were glued together. I stayed at the center for 4 hours. I was out walking immediatly and I didnt have the gas that so many of the gals and guys complain about.     Should I Or Shouldnt I Get Banded

    Everyone has given you such good advise. Regarding sweets. Did you know that they are carbs? Carbs make you want to eat more carbs. It is a cycle you are going thru. How are your teeth? Do you have cavities? You need Protein. Protein keeps you full. Helps you lose weight. For the Lapband surgery, They want people to agree for FOLLOW the rules. These are some of the rules. They do not include eating candy. 1. Eat only 3 small meals a day. Chew chew chew. 2. Protein first 3. Do not drink while eating. (30 min before and 1 hour after) No carbonated drinks. 4. Take Viamins. 5. Drink at leawst 64 oz of Water a day. 6. Exercise daily. Most of the people that have the lapband surgery have about 100lbs to lose. Lots of them have hundreds. Your carb habit will hold you back with a lapband....Best of luck to you and your choice.
