  1. Daaaang! I would love to see loss like that once I come over to the sleeved side! Are numbers like that more typical of people coming from higher weights? Do women lose like that? I'm coming from approx 280 lbs. and am female.

I think being a Heavy Weight (Starting Weight 498 pounds) has a lot to do with it, and also being a young male. But who's to say, get your sleeve and Rock it Girl and the weight gonna melt off.

  2. Well lets just the scale was my friend this morning. I was down 4 to 6 pound all week long and then bamm today i was the same weight as lost week. I know I'm not eating that much.

I know i got to keep the faith and move forward cause at this point theirs now turning back so i guess I'll do twice as good next week:thumbup:

  3. Do any of you find your appetite returning and wanting to snack or graze throughout the day? I'm finding this to be a big problem and i'm trying to combat it! I've got food on my mind like crazy right now and it's killing me!!

I?m fighting that very same thing right, it?s like I can eat something and still graze a little later. Trying to fight it. I also notice that when I eat fish I stay full longer, but when I drink my Protein it?s like it goes right through me and I was to eat something else. How it gets better for you, and let me know if you find a way to fix it.

  4. Is there any post-op sleeve patient who's having a hard time with BM post-op. I?ve always been one to go at least twice a day and then came the VSG and everything seems to change. I couldn?t remember having a BM for the last 4 days and then came day 5 and it hit me at last. How much Fiber is enough, I take about 2 table spoons almost every day. I was really starting to wonder if something was wrong somewhere in there because that?s has never happen to me before.

  5. Well today (06-07-10) I started my soft foods and so I took 1 egg & 1 egg white and about 6 crawfish tails and blended it very well and cooked it soft. I took one bite and it tasted like a piece of heaven. Well then came the 2nd bite and it tasted even a little better. I placed my baby spoon down for 2 min and once o pick up the 3 spoon up, the cramps started. I was cramping so Bad and hearing all kinds of noises coming from me stomach. I knew I hadn?t eaten 1 oz yet but it felt just like I was walking out of the Golden Wok ?Chinese buffet?:w00t:. Man it stayed cramping for about 10 min before I started burp. Once it started it all want to come up but I did have anything down there. If this is what women go through each month I take my hat off to them because those cramps had me saying several prayers. May God bless all women :wink0:

  6. Well i kind of felt the same way about not telling everybody, but once i was of recovery i called most of they to let them know. And ever since then I've been telling everyone who ask "have you lost some weight" Maybe if i share my story with some of them who are fighting that same battle we have been fighting, they may start wondering if WLS is right for them. Hey you may want to just tell Key members of you family first, I'm telling you telling my brother, two sisters, mom & dad and of course my wife gave me other people to talk too to calm my nerves pre-op.

  7. :biggrin0:Well I had my 1st post-op appointment today and everything is healing great. From my pre-op date I was 495 (May 10th) Surgery date (May 24th) I was 477 & 1 week post op (June 1st) I?m 457. Man that?s 20 pounds in a week & 38 from pre-op that?s gone. I?m so thankful for my Lord keeping and seeing me through so far & know that it?s only the beginning of my journey. :biggrin0:

  8. Hey Bigga,

Keep the jokes coming! :laugh0: But for the slow to catch on, like ME, give us a little by-line at the end that says "JUST KIDDING". :001_tt2:

I keep thinking about that thread you started somewhere else about the law enforcement personnel competition you wanted to attend a couple of weeks after surgery. What did you decide to do about that?

Congratulations and keep rockin that sleeve!

Well I just had to come down from that Macho Man tuff feeling and realized that I may feel great, but my body needs time to recover.

So I?ll be there but just helping coach the bases.

  9. Well tonight I had my first stage of Full Liquids. I made mashed potatoes (soupy). They were so good because I was starting to feel hungry. The only thing that has me concerned is that I ate 4 ozs of them before I was full. It seemed like alot for me post op. What do you guys think?

I have moved on to the full liquid phase too. I certainly try the potato Soup for tomorrow. How did you make it?
