I think that everyone is different. I had a hernia repaired along with the band and I was up and about later that day. I may have been moving a little slower but I think that you should be able to make the recital. I was at my son's basketball tournament 2 days later. They most pain is from the gas they blow you up with. It caused pain in my shoulder. I was just tired after surgery from anastesia.

you will do just fine. We all still eat yummy things that are no great for us. The difference is that we are eating them less often and smaller amounts. I still have "bad" weekends, but I never give up. That's why we had the surgery cause we needed help. I know it doesn't feel great when we make bad choices, but that is how we learn. It is ok to have chocolate or icecream sometimes. I know that I feel great about myself when i am eating right and excercising. It motivates me to do it more often cause I want to feel good.
keep up your hard work. icecream, chocolate, NO BIGGIE.

I am in the same boat as you. I am just about a 16 and I really need new pants since most of mine are 22's. Mostly elastic waist bands so they fall off. I need new spring clothes but I am waiting till I can only buy 16's. I did find a pair at target that were linen elastic waste. I was able to by XL. NOT XXL or bigger. It is a great accomplishment for me. Just to fit into XL makes me feel great and like I am on my way to just Large. It would be great to buy clothes just Large and fit into all of them.

I took 2 days off along with my weekend and that was fine. I was a little slow moving the first day back but you should be fine. Of course it depends on how your surgery will go and your body.
