I got down to 175 lbs then I got pregnant in July 2011 and gave birth in April..these pictures are during and after pregnancy with lapband..
  2. Well personally..I can drink all I want before I eat..but after I eat and I take even one drink its like liquid has no where to go but back up (not vomit but fill up like a cup lol) ...after I learned how it worked and I learned how to control it I found that I didnt loose any weight during that time..so I am sure it was just pushing the food through and making more room .. its just hard..I love having something cold to drink after a bite of hot food ugh.. oh well..its totally worth it to me
  3. I am 8 weeks pregnant and have the Lap Band...I would appreciate some advice from someone that has been pregnant after having surgery..how did it go? Did you have to have fluid taken out? Did it put additional restriction on the band due to all the pressure of the baby when you were further along? I want to do what is best and let my baby get all the things he/she needs..so if you could email me or get with me on my page.. I would greatly appreciate it! Hope to hear from someone soon... Thank you! dispatch2287@yahoo.com
  4. NO WAY! I do not regret my choice, I love how I feel and look. I have lost 85 lbs in a year and a half..only have 15 till my initial goal (which is what I weighed in HS) so if I dont hit it..its not that big of a deal..I also just found out that I am pregnant..if I didnt have the surgery I wouldnt be where I am now. I am so excited, and as another fine lady said your still early in your journey trust me the first two weeks of mine were horrible, I couldnt keep anything down ..the Dr prescribed me Nexium and then I was fine..The weight loss didnt start "showing" till after my first couple fills wich was about 6 months in...Even though I had been loosing slowly before then I just didnt see or feel it. Then I started swimming in my clothes and I just smiled..it will get better..just do what your supposed to..eat and drink how your supposed to and of course you have to make the effort by working out..the band is just a tool..but it will be fine..Keep your chin up! Dont rush it

OK I'm kinda freaking out, I was banded on 3/15/10 and to this day feel constant nausea, Is this a normal feeling? There is no more pain or anything I'm just weak from not being able to eat because everything I see or smell makes me want to vomit! Yeah..I'm loosing weight..but that's not how I wanted to do it! I have literally been in bed all week and I am supposed to go back this Thursday..uh yeah right. I called the Dr on Sunday (kinda felt bad about that lol) and told him what was going on..he got me some medicine to try and help stop it..its helping mildly and I am able to keep some stuff down THANK GOD lol...part of me wonders "is this going to be worth it?"

  7. My sister is going through the same thing, yet she has had the band for almost 2 years it becomes a problem ever so often. She is going through that right now..BUT she cant even drink water sometimes..which is obviously a problem, she went to the Dr. and they did this test where they put dye into her system to see if its "running right" lol..and they said it was but she is miserable. I told her to have them let more liquid out even if it is a tiny bit. I am sorry your going through that and I agree with "finding me" that you should tell your Dr. because you dont want to do any damage to yourself..you only have one of those.
  8. OK ...then my question is, why do I not have to do the diet at all? :frown:
