    April 2006 Bandits' February Challenge

    Okay... here we go, I never put in the decimal for weight, but today I will. I weighed in today and it was 199.2 Yep, it is finally here and I am feeling really emotional about it. I didn't expect that, but I was crying this morning. I am just darn proud. Beside that I had a great work out this morning and I hope to run tomorrow if the weather holds. Julie- when do you leave for St. barts? I hope it goes great!! Boo- good luck on your training for your 5 k (I am planning - hoping to do one in March too) How was your last time? Yesterday on my own I did 50 minutes... but that is slow Kat- how goes it? Guysis- congrats for walking in the rain!!! Anyway have a great weekend all!!!!!     Julie- congrats on the scale!!!! That little fish is going to swim Everyone seems to be doing great. I will weigh myself tomorrow. I have been stuck at 202 for 2 weeks so I want that scale to move on down!!! Today I had a tough run... really tough, but worth it. I ran 5.3 k this morning and it was cold and windy but I wanted to make it to 5 k today (blizzard predicted for tomorrow so I won't be able to run). It took me 50 minutes to do the 5.3k, but I am happy that I can say I did it- with a coat and mitts and all!!! So, wish me luck for tomorrow on that scales and I will let you know!!     Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters

    I am another April 2006 Bandster chiming in with good wishes. The road has been amazing and so worthwhile. I remember the waiting (and I am a self-pay!!) but I never have done anything better for me or my family. Today I ran 2.5 km and just felt like I ruled the world.     HI Guys, I posted on the weekend, but it doesn't seem to be there. I had a long, tough week in Inujvik (okay that is getting really North). There are no hotels there so we have to stay with people and the guy I stayed with thinks a french fry is a vegetable!!! Even the local store had NO produce... they had blizzards so the planes weren't coming in. I did get out for a run, but was advised against running outside the village, as there have been polar bears attacking people. So... nope Julie, I am still not in Onederland, but I am holding my own. I have been reading about all the health concerns... I am so sorry for you all and know that I am thinking of you. It reminds us how important our health is.     Eficka... Good for you for realizing that some people are just idiots!!! You truly have inspired me (and I am pushing big time for Prague now:)) But seriously, I had one person tell me how lucky I have been and that she would be lucky to if... I just never posted there again. I mean come on. I ran 4 k yesterday that is why I am loosing weight and not because of luck!!! On a good note... we are having a blizzard right now, but I got out for an awesome run yesterday. I love a blizzard. No better excuse than that for cuddling up and hanging out with your family. I had a great run this morning - did 2.2 k without stopping so I feel energized to take on this month!!! How about everyone else??? I have been losing well and I am thrilled with it, but I know that the plateau will hit (maybe it already has??) and then i will need to depend on something other than the scales to keep me focused.     Well, I think everyone is right, We are such a great group. I always feel happy when I see a new posting pop up in my email. It was -45C today, so I stepped inside and it went well. It is so comforting having this group. I set my 'goal' weight before I started this journey. I figured it was what I weighed when I met my dh and I looked hot... of course I was 20 so.... I can't imagine that in 26 lbs I'll be content, so I'll wait and see. Everyone have a good day. Julie, which race are you doing? I'd like to follow on line if possible. Bye for now my friends.     Well, Thanks for sending all of your good thoughts eeryone. Boo and Julie, both of your suggestiong helped. By last night my knee was no longer hurting so... I went for a short, slow (they all are but it makes it sound good right!) run this morning. It was d*** cold (-25 with a wind chill of -36), but I ran 1 km and walked 2 km... so that was good. Guysis... am I reading your scale right... 4 lbs until goal... You amaze me!! Betty- way to go with mah jhang!!1 You have all been so helpful!!! thanks O... btw...     April 2006 Bandits January Challenge

    Okay guys.... I need your help. I had a great... just amazing run on the weekend. I actually ran for 1.5 k without stopping. It was so great. I ran 2.5 k before hand in intervals and I just rocked. So of course the next day I said I am going to run again (and the weather was great) so I ran and I ran so well and so carefree... I actually thought of myself as a runner. I did about 2.5 k straight and then... somthing starting hurting in my knee and I had to stop and walk home (which was still 1.5 km). So I am totally depressed and freaked out that I couldn't run today and scared that I will loose momentum. As well, I usually bounce up on the weekend (seems my routine) so of course this morning I was up 1.5 lbs so now I am angry about that too. Also, there are no fitness people here so I don't know how long I should take a break. I would like to try and run again tomorrow... maybe just 5 minute intervals...     Argon, I think I know what you mean about being picked up. Over Christmas my great DH picked me up and I was like... wow aren't you going to break your back... but nope. Sometimes I think I forget that I have lost any weight at all. I keep telling myself that I will post before and after pics after I hit onederland. I looked at your argon and they are amazing!!!!     Canadian- February 2007 Goals

    Hi all, My goal for February is a big one for me... I would like to be under 200 lbs. It is not a big loss, but I keep expecting to hit a plateau. As well for me, I would like to continue running 4 times a week and be able to increase my distance to 5 km. I am not sure I can do it, but I'm going to give it a good ole try.
