  1. HI Juicy!

I am doing okay. A little frustrated on the weightloss front. Its def partly my own fault. But, the band is letting me eat anything and everything. its horrible. I go for my 2nd fill today so hopefully things will change and the scale will get moving with some better food choices and exercise. This is hard! Good for you with your progress.

I just thought that the band would fix my head hunger because i would be so motivated to follow the rules with seeing results on the scale. WRONG! This is a lot harder and also, it doesnt help when my family are wondering why i am not losing anymore and how i can eat like i do. Frustrating.

We will see what happens after this fill.

Have a great day. its going to be in the 90's today here in Boston! Good luck and keep me posted!

  2. Oooh! 9 days. Thats right around the corner. Very exciting. The liquid diet is a killer! I was so emotional on it and I missed food. Take it day by day. What helpedme get through it was drinking crystal light and thinking about what I am going to look/feel like this summer and if I cheat, I am going to slow everything down. Seemed to work for me, again keeping the positive attitude. Its hard though!! Being down over 11 pounds feels sooo great!! Good luck and keep me posted!

  3. Hey! Aren't you so glad the surgery is over?? I am! I am not feeling any tightness. Never did in fact... I wonder what thats about. Your port is connected to muscle so I bet thats why you still feel pain there. That was the last spot to heal for me. I can't do a sit-up quite yet but walking and doing everyday activities is fine and I feel nothing. Good job on the 11 pounds!! Doesnt it feel great? I went shopping last night and was suprised I am not in a smaller size yet. I have lost 24 pounds in all and my current size is too big but the smaller size is to small. Isnt that always the way.

My weightloss has slowed down tremendously since starting the pured stage. has yours?

  4. Hi! I am doing great! I am 2.5 weeks from surgery and already down 11.5 pounds. It was a peice of cake. Already healed and feeling good. Sometimes I forget I even had surgery.

How are you doing with that silly 6 mo. diet?? How much longer do you have to go. What a pain that is!

  5. Hi Shellie! Glad to hear someone is getting something out of reading about my journey!! It is such a process but worth it so far! Hang in there. I love your blog entries as well! Keep posting!

  6. HI Teach! You will be in the 100's before you know it! Might even be before surgery if you have to do that dreaded liquid diet! Good luck to you and remember to try and have a positive attitude. I think it really does help. Keep me posted! It will be here before you know it!

  7. Hey Janet! Thanks for the comment. Saltine crackers are a great idea! I am definitley going to try that. I actually met with the surgeon and she said I could move on to the next stage but she preferred if I didnt. I dont know!! Thanks!!

  8. Hey! Believe me.... cheating is on the brain!! I actually met with the surgeon today and she said i could move on if I am really that hungry but she preferred if I waited and went with the program guidelines. I actually feel better today. Not so hungry. Plus, i went to work to try and get my mind of food! Its helping. Well, hang in there!! ttyl!

  9. Thanks WB for your great comment!!! Your right, it will all be worth it. Its just really hard right now. Didn't know i would be so emotional! Thanks again and good luck to you too!!

  10. Hi Michelle! I was wondering about your message!!! Too funny! Well, good for you with losing all that weight! I can't wait to be a success story as well.

  11. Thanks for the great message. I am excited to get this started! Now, i just have to get that last meal idea out of my head! You look great! Thanks again!!

  12. HI! I would have died if my insurance required a 6 month diet! I am sooo impatient and this process is already long enough without the 6 month wait! I started Jan 27th and I am having surgery March 29th. So, 2 months wait and it was a busy 2 months with all the pre-screening, classes and meetings. I can't wait. Good luck to you! its definitley going to be worth the wait. I just know it.

Yes, and about the last meal..... i just drove by a dunkin donuts this morning (not sure if they are in your area...) but i thought i better stop to have my last bagel sandwhich! Its just isnt stopping, this last meal syndrome. I even told myself last night that it has got to stop starting today! Oh well!!

  13. Hi Harry,

My surgeon said it was my choice on which one. The only real difference I saw was that LapBand has a low profile port that you can get once all the weight is lost. That way, it wont be noticeable and for me, thats important. Other than that, i dont know of any real differences. Good luck!

  14. Hey! Good luck next week! I am not nervouse yet but it really hasn't sunk in yet. We will see! I can't wait. Its going to be a great summer! Keep me posted!

  15. We will do great! I am so glad I don't have to do that dreaded liquid diet. My office doesn't require it. They just require you to lose a 5% body weight prior to surgery. Keep me posted on how your doing and I will do the same!

  16. Great advice on the water. Thanks so much. I will have to buy a timer cause thats also a good idea and keeps you accurate on when to drink. I have read alot about what happens when you drink and I def dont want to do that to myself!!

  17. BTW... I just read your blog....the whole thing! So captivating and inspirational. Its nice to see someone who is really doing well and following the rules. I am going to have to get some recipe ideas from you later! I love how you cook all your own meals and they are protein loaded. I just know that I am so motivated (thanks to your blog!) and I cant wait to get this started and move in the right direction!

Where do you live? I know you went to Lahey and thats right by me.

  18. Sounds like we have similar stories! Good luck and keep blogging about your experience!!! I agree, summer will be great this year!!

  19. Thanks Kathy! I am really excited and cant wait to get started on losing more weight.
