I am struggling as well. I lost 7 pounds the first month and NOTHING the second. I didn't gain, but I didn't lose. I hope my insurance wont hold it against me for not losing. Hopefully I will have a loss the next time I go. Good luck too all of you. I know how hard it is.

I've never heard of doing it for 60 days??? Good luck...

I'm glad you are doing well. I'm worried about the pain now though. I'm a big chicken, I've had two babies and a hernia repair. Is the pain worse than that?

Good Luck! Hope everything goes well for you. Anxious to hear how it goes!

Hello, I hope to have my surgery in August as well. It seems so far away. I am in my second month of my six month "approval period" I lost 7 pounds the first month. I am so thankful that my insurance covers this procedure, but I just want to tell somebody that if I were a drunk or a drug addict, I doubt very seriously that the insurance would make me stay sober for six months before they check into rehab. I'm fat, I'm gonna stay fat. I don't abuse or take advantage of my health insurance and I would just like to have this surgery with out all the hoop jumping. I know you need to lose some weight before the surgery, but I thought that was what the 14 day pre op diet was for. Anyway, that's my rant for the day. I'm usually not this bitter lol. Good luck to all of you. I'm glad I found some folks on the same time line as me.

Has anyone used Carnation Instant Breakfast for their 14 day diet? It's on my list of things I can use but if I use it 5 times a day like the doctor says, it will be more than 800 calories a day. I've looked at the lower sugar kind and the calories are the same. I really like the taste (the chocolate tastes like a frosty) and I'm afraid to try anything else because of the taste. I don't know what whey tastes like and you have to buy a great big can and I'm afraid I wont like it. Thanks for your help.

Sometimes, jealousy sets in even from family members. I hope they "come around" you need to have a support system. Good luck, and don't let anything, or ANYONE bring you down. You are doing this for Y O U.

Good Luck...I wish you all the best. I feel like I have such a long way to go. I'm only in the second month of my supervised diet. I won't be having surgery until late July or August. Let us know how you do.

Hi. I'm Jennifer. I am new to this forum and am excited to get started on my journey as well. I am in my second month of my six month supervised diet. I hope to have my surgery in the later part of July or early August in Charleston, WV. It seems so far away, but I suppose like anything else, It'll be here before you know it. I wish you all the best of luck, it is so comforting to know that there are folks in the same boat as me.

I am from WV as well. I live in Princeton, but I am having my surgery in Charleston, by Dr. Sam Rossi. I am only the second month into my six month supervised diet. I am nervous and excited. It is good to hear from people so close to home. Good luck to all of you.
