  1. I am very embarassed to tell this. About 2 mos. after I was banded, I DID throw up at the table at Red Lobster & I was mortified! I could NOT control it at all! It just kept coming & coming! I was starving & ate shrimp cocktail too fast & without chewing enough! From then on, I carry a "sick bag" which I get online at www.sicksaver.com. These have saved me many times--at restaurants , in the car, etc. They are well worth it & now I would not EVER be without them! I still do, however, scope out the restroom & will sometime even ask to be seated close by! It is all an ongoing learning experience! Good Luck!

  2. I was taking Glucophage for my diabetes. After surgery, my doctor prescribed it in the liquid form--doesn't taste too good, but it does the trick. My Albertson's pharmacy didn't usually carry this, but they were able to get it for me and now they keep it on hand for me. Might work for you!

  3. I have been having the same thing, except mine are almost always by my ankle! I never had these before I was banded! I researched this on the Internet and found it to be a mostly MAGNESIUM defeciency! I just started taking supplements--250 mg. at night. The foods rich in magnesium are: any type of nuts, salmon, halibut, spinach, broccoli, and many more. My surgeon agreed with me. Just wanted to share this info. with you! Good luck!

  4. About the blood clot thing--that's why they tell you to get up and WALK, WALK, WALK! You should start AS SOON AS YOU GET HOME FROM SURGERY!! They told me to get up and walk 25-30 steps EVERY 30 MINUTES!!! That scared me enough to do it--plus it helps with recevery time too! I also got a blood thinner injection right before surgery to prevent clots.
