1. I am interested in this too, so i googled it, this is what i came up with: homemade remedy for sagging skin site- http://www.livestrong.com/article/219143-homemade-remedy-for-sagging-skin/ Overview Sagging skin is often considered a normal part of aging, but it can be embarrassing and uncomfortable for many people. Often caused by repeated movements and facial expressions, there are some natural, homemade remedies that use essential oils and carrier oils to help firm, tighten and lift sagging skin, according to Julia Lawless, author of "The Encyclopedia of Essential Oils: The Complete Guide to The Use of Aromatic Oils In Aromatherapy, Herbalism, Health and Well Being."

Step 1 Combine ½ tsp. clary sage essential oil, ½ tsp. patchouli essential oil, ½ tsp. rose otto essential oil, ¼ tsp. sandalwood essential oil, ¼ tsp. petitgrain essential oil and ¼ cup jojoba oil in a small amber bottle with a tight-fitting top. Step 2 Cover the oil mixture and shake it for 10 to 15 seconds to thoroughly combine the ingredients. The Best Skin Care System Celebrities Trust Simone France. As Seen In Elle and O Magazine! SimoneFrance.com/Skin_Care Sponsored Links Step 3 Pour a small amount of the mixture onto a clean cotton pad. Allow the cotton to soak up the oil for 30 seconds. Step 4 Dab the oil mixture on the area of skin being treated. Leave the excess oil on the skin for 20 to 25 minutes without wiping it off. Step 5 Rinse your skin with lukewarm Water and pat dry with a clean towel. Step 6 Apply your regular moisturizer after using this treatment. There is no need to wash with soap unless the mixture irritates your skin. Step 7 Use this treatment once per day for as long as necessary. Discontinue use if the essential oils bother your skin or cause redness that does not fade away after a few minutes. Step 8 Store unused portions of the oil mixture in the medicine cabinet or cupboard for 90 days. Discard the mixture after 90 days if not completely used. Tips and Warnings It is best to use therapeutic-grade essential oils when applying them to your skin according to Colleen Kaye Dodt, author of "The Essential Oils Book: Creating Personal Blends for Mind & Body." Therapeutic-grade essential oils are often more expensive than standard essential oils, but they offer the most benefit. They can regularly be found in most health food stores and online through specialty retailers that sell homeopathic medicine and aromatherapy supplies. I've been a bad boy

Yep, get back on that bicycle, go back to following your drs orders. Decide to do other things next time, food doesnt have to be the center of entertainment. I have learned (I know it sounds cliche) to eat to live, not live to eat.. If you do go out to eat, find out whats on the menu so you'll be prepared on what to order. Bowling, movie, comedy club??? whatever but try to handle things in your head before your caught off guard for next time, it helps me make better decisions.. Good luck

If it were up to me I guess I wouldn't eat enough?

I know I posted this before. It was posted by Maddie, I kept it because we can fall into a pit of questions and this seems to make sense to me. Hope it helps... This is how it was explained to me and it makes sense. Pull back from your ‘daily’ charting, and look at a weekly or even monthly. There are up and down spikes each day, But if you ‘graph’ the highest to the lowest, I’d bet there is still A downward slope over the course of the month. There’s an 8 to 10lb. volume of "wiggle room" due to Water alone. And it comes into play a lot. This has to do with our bodies using glycogen for short term energy storage. Glycogen is not very soluble, But it is stored in our muscles for quick energy – One pound of glycogen requires 4 lbs of water to keep it soluble, And the average glycogen storage capacity is about 2 lbs. So, when you are not getting in enough food, (Like when you drop down to your calorie intake) Your body turns first to stored glycogen, Which is easy to break down for energy. And when you use up 2 lbs of glycogen, You also lose 8 lbs of water that was used to store it Voila -- the "easy" 10 lbs that most people lose in the first week of any diet. As you stay in caloric deficit, however, Your body starts to ‘realize’ that this is not a short term problem. You start mobilizing fat from your adipose tissue And burning fat for energy. But your body also ‘realizes’---- (by way of your liver releasing hormones signaling low Cal intake) ---That fat can't be used for short bursts of energy – Like, to outrun a saber-tooth tiger. So, it starts converting some of the fat into glycogen, And rebuilding the glycogen stores. And as it puts back the 2 lbs of glycogen into the muscle, 8 lbs of water has to be stored with it to keep it soluble. So, even though you might still be LOSING energy content to your body, (Thus showing negative Calorie load overall) Your weight will not go down or you might even GAIN for a while As you retain water to dissolve the glycogen that is being reformed and stored. Yes? The whole ‘weight-loss’ process is not a straight "Slide" down the scale. More like "Stair-Steps," (Down then forward, then down, then forward, etc... As your body cycles fat out of "deep storage" and through the Liver Into the muscles as Glycogen. The muscles and Liver can hold about a 3 weeks supply. This is why many people find that their "Stall" or "Plateau" Breaks when adding a bit of exercise And upping their water intake, or in the case of an "extreme exerciser," The total Calorie or Protein Intake, To signal the liver to let go of more Glycogen. Hope this helps some. From the same thread: Lisalu: Great posts. I would like to add something to Maddie's explanation of stalls. The liver makes glycogen (read: stored glucose) in order to keep blood glucose levels steady. The liver doesn't convert fats into gycogen though, it either needs carbs or protein. This is why keeping our protein up is so important. Our muscles and brain run on ketone bodies (which do come from fat metabolism) and glucose. If we don't have enough protein to synthesize the glucose we need, our bodies will break down muscle. Not what we want.

    Stalls

Stalls happen, that's a given. But I had a stall for 10 days, I was so upset, so decided to go thru everything I was eating and figured out that I wasnt getting as much protein as I was suppose to (was eating 40-50gr) My stall broke when I ate 70-80 gr protein! Go figure!!
  11. I remember on my 3rd week, I had a stall that lasted for 2 weeks! Everyday I weighed myself and was so upset. Now at week 17, I see that my weight is falling off IF I follow the rules. Your body is adjusting.. Your weight will come off, just make sure your following all the rules your dr gave you.. Good luck!
  12. WOW! sitting here looking at my ticker, i only have 53 more pounds to lose!! REALLY!!!? this is amazing...

  18. blood results in and pcp said 'i look amazing'!!!

  19. Well I have been a member of this site for almost a year and havent told my story & thought I would today. January 2010 I decided to have the sleeve after researching for many months. The sleeve it was..until I went to see my GYN, umm (sorry TMI alert), I have been menstrating for many months, I kept thinking-'if I can just lose this weight, it'll be okay'. but Dr. decided to do a sterilization/ablation on me to see if that help, well it didnt. So after many ultrasounds, the 'ultrasoundist' asked if I had been told I had endometriosis. Noone has ever told me that, infact after 12 years of trying to concieve even with doctors interventions (all self pay), noone has told me that, they just called it 'mysterious infertility', (finally chose to adopt). Now 12 years later a new doctor is going to finally diagnose me? Of course I thought the ultrasound lady was wrong but dr wanted to 'go in and see' as this is the only way you can be diagnosed for sure with this disease. Sooo(had to put my sleeve on hold) April 2010, she did a look see laproscopic and indeed found that I had one of the worse cases she has ever seen of endometriosis, I had stage 7!. Endometriosis is a disease that feeds off of your estrogen, and produces a rock hard 'glue' that had 'glued' my ovaries together and had adhered to my intestines and bowels. Dr. immedialtely closed me up without taking anything out, because she needed a robot to help her. So,again my sleeve on hold til we get this out of the way. June 30, 2010 I had surgery for her to go in and get that out of me, after two hours of trying to cut this out of me laproscopic, she decided to open me up and take everything as she described 'it was just one big ball of mess all glued together.Thankfully she didnt nick my bowels while cutting that away! I was happy as I knew now, no more things in my way of my sleeve, I scheduled my sleeve for sept 17, I get a call sept. 6 , drs office telling me that dr has jury duty on my surgery date!! OMG really? I cried with her office personel, they called me sept 8, told me to be at the hospital in the morning Sept 9th.!! Ok I wanted the surgery but wow tomorrow? Lots of things went thru my mind: I thought of my kids, my life, was this really going to work, am I really prepared for it, will I make it thru surgery? Well I made the 4 hr drive to the hospital crying while thinking of all these things... I had the surgery, everything went great, I was out after spending two nights. I am on week 13, lost 58 pounds, I just keep thinking somone pinch me, this is too easy. I HAVE NOT ONCE REGRETTED HAVING THIS SURGERY. My sleeve has been faithful to me, and I treat it right too! I look at myself in the mirror and see ME! The person I knew was in there long ago. I AM ALIVE, I particpate at my kids schools, I feel good in a crowd of people ( I always felt the biggest in the room at any given time). Sunday was the first pic I had taken with my kids in 8 years, and even better, I liked the pics!! ITS BEEN AN AWESOME RIDE, WORTH THE WAIT!! Anyone thinking of getting the sleeve, I say 'go for it', you owe it to yourself. Your life will change for the better... God bless!! Kelly
