  1. I was eating 900-1100 calories, but that doesnt work for me, I now try eating 1300-1500, and I have already dropped a couple pounds in a few days. My body gets use to things very quickly and I have realized that I need to change things up to keep the pounds coming off. Personally my doctor never told me to eat a certain amount of calories and I am glad he didnt because I wouldnt want to live my life on 800 calories that a lot of doctors seem to think is a good amount!
  2. I know this feeling, I can eat whatever I want at this point without having all the side effects, and honestly i love my band at this point. I stopped losing weight last week, so I just upped my calories that I am eating and I already lost some weight. I would def not be ready for a fill but if your not losing weight, you might need one! goodluck
  3. Couldnt you just go back to work and tell them no lifting?
  4. I think this is fine, I wasnt getting much during those stages either, but I also wasnt losing anything. Your doing great! Keep up the good work.
  5. I personally couldnt be more happier that I found a doctor that doesn't think like this. I believe in "starvation mode" , but i dont think I would call it that. I was limiting myself to 1000 calories a day, didnt lose a pound one week, so for the last 3-4 days I upped my calories to about 1500 and already lost three pounds, without even stepping into the gym for the last 3 days. I agree with you, find what works for you, but I am so glad I am one of the people that can eat like a normal person and still lose the weight!

    Need some advice......

I would have HATED to spend the night. I had surgery at 730 also and was on my way home by 11. I wouldnt have had it any other way.
  7. People can only tell you how their band works and how they are doing things. We cant help you with why you cant consume more then 1000 calories. Do you log your food somewhere, maybe we can take a look at it and give you some suggestions, or maybe you can put your daily food intake here. We are here to help, but in reality you really should be able to consume more then 1000 calories easily.
  8. I put food in my mouth, i chew it , then i swallow. I never allow myself to get hungry, but I never eat enough to get full because I know i will be eating again soon.
  9. I eat when im not hungry. I eat every 2-4 hours. But my meals are small. Your weight loss will stall if you stay at such low calories, mine did, thats why im upping my calories.
  10. Thats plenty of time and the walking will be good for you! I got banded on a monday and was back at work next monday. I felt myself thursday-friday.You will be fine!

    help

Are you throwing up or having bowel movements? For the first month of being banded anytime I would introduce a food back into my diet I would get the worst diarrhea about an hour or two after. Then no matter what I ate that day it was the same thing. Everyday it was like this, I figured it was just my stomach getting use to normal foods again, sometimes I still have the problem but I do have a plastic thing around my stomach , so I just deal with it!
  12. I was eating 1000-1200 and it was not enough, as my weight loss stopped! I am now trying to get 1300-1500.
  13. Thats all you eat! I cant believe your doctor is ok with that. Thats crazy!

    Discouraged

I didnt start losing weight for about a month after surgery. At this point you need to have self control!
