  1. Eileen, you can't give up! So it's taking a little longer than we hoped, but you bet we aint going to gain it back!!! Not Ever!!! 44 lbs lost is just about the same is me since the beginning, pre op dieting. That's AWESOME. I also get VERYYYY discouraged and crabby about the process, but I feel sooo much better and finally feel well enough to love exercise again. I didn't quite understand how long it would take to ramp things up to efficiency, but, lol, for now, I'm still enjoying things that may end up off the menu when I'm thighter aka bread and other carbs. I don't have any better advise than that because some days I'm mad a heck too. I just keep thinking about where I was a year ago and what I've acomplished has been my own doing... which I agree is super annoying! A few more months at best till we have some great restriction. My goal is to be at or around 150 by Christmas! Thinking big picture helps, too! I'm going to join in the Christmas challenge. I just failed sort of at the 4th of July one.....

Have you started a food Journal to keep an eye on your intake? Remember this is not like gastric bypass total weight loss can take up to 3 years to achieve. Keep up the good work and remember this is for a better you no matter how long it takes!!

  2. I found a few stories on here that have me questioning my decision.... those "stuck" stories scare me. I had heart burn once so bad I thought I'd die... I don't like that sort of pain where there isn't much you can do... if I go through with the surgery I won't ever eat meat!

My surgery date is next Monday!!

Yes you will eat meat again. You will have trial and error of what you can handle and what you cant. The amounts of the food you will eat is the difference.

  3. Banded June 17 2010 Yesterday was a little painful getting all the gas out. Woke up this morning feeling great lots of energy and looks like the swelling is starting to go down. Had a half bowl of cream of wheat and feel full. Suprised at the amount of energy I have. I actually want to get outside and do stuff.
