    This has me scared....

I really appreciate everyone's input - her answers kind of had me scratching my head - b/c I have been doing research, and what I came up with didn't seem like at all what she said. That's why I wanted to run it by y'all - I know b/w all of us - there has been a ton of research done, and lots of experience. Thank you. If anyone else has more to add - I'd love to hear it. And I probably should have said - I'm at the beginning of my journey - but I have been doing sporadic research on the lapband for 2 yrs. Orginally, I decided to wait and try ww - well, here I am, 2 yrs later, and have lost and gained back all 26 lbs. I'm ready to do more than ww.

PRE Op Diet Hard to follow

Fanny - Boya is about half an hour outside of Perth - in the hills. Near Kalamunda, Darlington, Helena Valley. Small - but definitely there. I miss it terribly! And I just read your blog - with all your flying back and forth - my ex is a pilot for Skywest - no doubt you've probably been on one of his flights. And his hmmmm - girlfriend (that's me being polite) - is a flight attendant for them.

PRE Op Diet Hard to follow

First - Fanny Adams - I lived in Perth for 12 years!! Actually, in Boya. Second - is it easier to "ease" into the liquid diet - let's say - for a couple days sub out 1 meal with a Protein shake, and then for few days, sub out 2 meals, etc? I'm a ways off doing the pre-op - haven't even had my first official doc appt yet. But I went to a seminar last night, and put in my paperwork.
  4. This is SUCH an interesting and informative thread! Thank you all for sharing! I've been worried about many of the same things as I look into the lapband. The emotional side of things is what I'm most worried about, and failing yet again.
  5. Hi! I'm in NC, too. I went to a lapband info meeting a year ago, but decided to try weight watchers. Lost 26 lbs, and gained it all back. So here I am, again!! I'm looking into different Raleigh doctors - any advice? How did you choose your doctor? It'll be great to hear about your story and your surgery, as a fellow NCer. :w00t: Best of luck! -Tracey
