    Late December

From the album: Pictures of Progress

  4. I'm in western Atlantic County.
  5. You can pick all kinds of clothing! They give the option of a one-piece suit! :-)
  6. I was banded by Dr. O on 1/20 and will go for my first fill on 2/26 (was to be 2/19, but I'm out of town). What fills have you had? Wonder when I can get my second fill.
  7. I went to MyVirtualModel.com and put the information in for my highest weight. I did a screen capture (PrtSc button), and then pasted it in a photo program I use called IrfanView (IrfanView.com) and saved the file. Then I went back to MyVirtualModel.com and entered my current weight in the model's information. I did another screen capture and pasted it in my photo program and saved the file. Again, back to MyVirtualModel.com and entered my goal weight on the model. Screen Capture, paste in photo program, save file. Then! I went into IrfanView's Create a Panorama Image under the Image menu. You select all three files (high, current, goal) in that order horizontally. Save the file! Then I added it to my LBT album, and took the URL and added a pic in my signature using that URL.

    How's that?! :-)

  8. I have a killer headache, and I tried taking some of my leftover tylenol with codeine (I'm 3 weeks post op) but it didn't help much. I have an empty band. Do you think I can take ibuprofen tablets?
  9. The first thing I did was resize it in IrfanView to 300 px wide, so it wouldn't be too big/obnoxious. Then I uploaded it to my LBT album, and got the URL for it. I went into my signature, and added it as a pic with the pic icon, which asks for the pic's URL. Voila! :-) Glad we're even! Haha! :-)
  10. I have been doing Couch-To-5K, and on my "rest" days, get some walking in. At my pre-op Boot Camp, the physical therapist really stressed getting different types of exercise: cardio (like running/walking/cycling), strength training (like weights, resistance), stretching (like yoga), core training (like pilates). So, I'm really getting all my cardio, and I believe that my gym has personal trainer sessions for $25 -- something I could afford ONE time to get in gear with weights and core training. I'm proud of where I am, but know that I need to expand to more than just cardio. Always have goals! :-)
  11. Hahah, sorry! Want me to edit? Heh. It's funny, right?! :-)
  12. Awesome! Yes, creepy! Ha ha. Here it is! I just got the URL by right-clicking "View Image" -- I put mine in my sig, but trying to get the right size so it's not obnoxious! haha. Nice progress, BTW! Go you!
  13. BTW, our own faces on the fake model DOES sound creepy!
  14. I use a program called Irfanview (irfanview.com) that lets you make a panorama image out of separate images. I just did screen shots of the model and cropped them. If you do use the program, it's under Image, Create Panorama Image, Horizontal, Add Images, Create, Save.
  15. Let's see if this works -- this is "me" at 197 and then 181 and then goal (Don't know if that's too skinny for my taste or not -- I'll have to wait and see): http://www.lapbandtalk.com/members/83564-albums5193-picture31305.jpg
  16. It looks like MyVirtualModel.com works, but you can't *DO* anything with the model except shop. Still neat to see. I put my starting weight, then set my current weight and it was neat to see the model change. :-)
  17. This is one I had before, also. MyVirtualModel.com
  18. Oh, I forgot! iGoogle has one that's not as good as the Prevention.com one was. Personalize Your Homepage
  19. Prevention.com used to have one, but no more. :-( I'm looking for one, too.

    Ibuprofen?

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up sucking it up and taking more Tylenol with Codeine (liquid). I'm snowed in up in the Northeast, so I had to go with what I had on hand, and it was either my surgery meds or ibu. Thanks again, gang!
  21. I was banded at AtlantiCare by Dr. O, one month after you. :-)
  22. I LOVE LOVE LOVE C25K! I'm on Week 5 Day 1 tomorrow. I definitely recommend taking a day between your running. Your body has to rest. Also, be aware of the possibility of shin splints, typically a beginner's injury. You have to have new shoes, and I recommend LEARNING how to run. A running store (Fleet Feet is my closest) can help you. I am in LOVE with running, and always thought it would be something I could never do, even when I was younger and more athletic (playing tennis, basketball) -- I always thought running was beyond my ability. I am registered for two 5Ks in the next two months. :rolleyes2:

    Nsv!

I will try that -- thanks! I probably need to do that for sure with increased activity. Bandster hell is the time before fills/restriction. :cursing: Frustrating!

    Nsv!

I am almost 3 weeks post-op, and have not had movement on the scale for about 10 days. I know I'm in bandster hell, I'm still keepin' the faith, exercising every day (my 5K is creeping closer and closer!) and so I was really excited today to have a real non-scale victory! My coworker (who hadn't seen me in three days) said, "Wow! You're really losing weight! I can see it in your face. That made me smile for a good 10 minutes straight! It was just what I needed. Hurray for NSVs! :-) But that doesn't mean I'm going to stop looking forward to my first fill in 2.5 weeks! Ha! :-)
