  1. April 19th will be 1 year since I had surgery! I have lost 120 lbs so far. I still have not met my first goal of 180 lbs, I currently weigh 217. I have only lost 3 lbs in the past 2 1/2 months! UGH. I have noticed my snacking picking back up and choosing more fried foods. This is so discouraging to me. I know BETTER! I just feel like a failure right now I even have not been working out. I have had alot of personal changes in my life during the same time frame this maybe impacting me more than I thought but I have to get it together. I want to be at my goal weight by July which I know can be down very easy, it's more about getting my motivation back. I'm thinking about getting a trainer with a boot camp style training to kick my butt back into gear. If anybody has any suggestions please let me know!!!!!!!

  2. Ok guys nerves have set in, UGH! I have looked at my son twice today and started crying and telling him how much I love him. He is 15 months old and basically was like quit kissing me. I have a cousin who speaks negatively even in her sleep whom I had to go off on and hang up on. I basically told her I live for my son not the rest of my family and I'm not gonna do anything that I feel like may take me from him. She should worry about who her husband is sleeping with than my surgery (sorry that wasn't nice but true). Oh well still excited for tomorrow!!!!

  3. I was able to set a tentative date but the very next day they called me with approval. Also when I did call in to get a date the nurse said they gave the insurance company a date if 3/29/10 in hopes that would hurry there decision. Good luck and keep us posted.

  4. Cwalker, I tried not to think about it. I work in the medical field and HATE when patients call and ask me daily have I heard anything regarding there problem. It actually wasn't that bad, I called a week after they said they would submit the claim (I didn't want to fall through the cracks). I ended talking to a patient at work that told me she was having surgery and using the same surgeon as me, she told me she had her date scheduled already before she was approved. I called to set up a date since I had already blocked time off at work and the next day they called and told me I was approved. Now I am playing the waiting game counting down the weeks.

  5. As you will find from the insurance thread regarding UHC each policy is different. I have UHC choice plus and was approved in about 3 weeks for the sleeve. My surgeons office said they LOVE UHC because they respond so fast. Don't be discourged because UHC will say they don't cover the sleeve, but when my surgeon office submitted my claim they approved it. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

  6. Is there room for me on the losers bench? The Doctors office called today with my approval :thumbup1:. I scheduled surgery for April 19th!!!! I can't wait, I have to go Monday and talk to my surgeon and schedule pre-op testing. I am home sick form work today so this was just the news I needed to feel a little better.

  7. I don't have a date yet, but I have tried to change my habits. I eat smaller meals for lunch such as lean cusines or a small salad. For dinner I eat a normal meal but less fried foods than I'm used to. I may start just having a Protein Shake for Breakfast. This is my birthday weekend and it also will be my last weekend of eating just anything. I want to start changing now so my body just doesnt go into shock
