Look at you...wow! Don't ever give up...you can do this.

You look amazing! Great job! It feels so good!

I was eating meat at every meal and my weight loss was very slow, and I was also very tight. Now, I'm a bit looser and I only eat lean meat once a day. I get Protein through Beans, nuts, and soy beans. I cut out all dairy and that has helped me, it's a personal thing. I try to eat as natural as I can, with lots of veggies and fruit. I'm back to losing a couple of pounds a week.

:rolleyes2: Thanks for the link. I'll check it out!

At night when we sleep our body is getting rid of toxins. fruit helps with this, and our body still continues this in the morning. Fruit in the morning is what seems to work for me. Also, if I need something at night...I eat just a few pieces of fruit. As far as Snacks, I try and only eat something raw (a fruit or veggie) and only when I’m really hungry. I eat lean protein… such as fish, chicken, Beans, or almonds as my meals along with some veggie. I stay clear of Pasta, rice, refined sugar and white flour.

Which vitamix blender would you use? They have several different machines. If you have a link...that would be great.

That's awesome! Congrats! Just eat healthy foods and you'll do fine! You are an inspiration to us all.

That's where we do most all our shopping. They have good produce, and I love the frozen cod. They have many organic and all natural foods. We also get our chicken and ground turkey there.

I went from a size 20 to a 14.

You look great. I can tell a big difference. I'm also about halfway and I don't regret the surgery. It's not always easy and I have ups and downs, but the journey is worth it. Keep up the awesome work! We will get there!

I don't eat any kind of rice or Pasta. I just don't like the way it feels when I chew it. It tastes like glue and I'm too afraid it will get stuck. I haven't eaten it since I've been banded, in March, and I don't miss it at all.

I like the treadmill. I keep a steady walk, then speed it up for the jogging intervals, then go back to my steady walk. It helps to keep track of my time and how far I go.

I'm on week three. Right now I'm running only on the treadmill as it's easier on my joints. When the weather cools off, I want to start running outside. Good luck all!

Last month we went on vacation...and I fell into this same trap. I didn't lose or gain anything the whole month. I knew I needed a fill and got one a week ago. It made all the difference. I set that day as my "get back on track day" and began running on the treadmill again. I've lost 5 lbs. since my fill. I feel great. It's like giving a dog a bath...they hate it, but it feels so good after. That's what exercise is for me. You just have to make up your mind to do it...and do it. Don't give up!

Don't forget about baby foods. Start out with the smooth ones...then move to mushies. Avoid whipped...it does contain air bubbles that will bloat you. Gas is no fun!

Our insurance didn't cover the band, but because I had a hernia...it covered that part of the surgery and I am paying off the band. To make a long story short...insurance paid for about half...so I'm paying off the rest. If you have acid reflux you may want to see if you have a hernia. It's all in the way they code it.

What a wonderful, uplifting story. Love finds you when you least expect it. I also love my band!

The key is keeping up with your after care. If you don't like your dr. then find another one. Leigh is right...if you are too tight you'll have pain and eat the wrong foods. Best of luck...and DON'T give up on yourself or the band.

WTG! Everything you said was right on the money. Congrats and keep up the great work and attitude.

Congrats...I am so happy for you. I'm three pounds from onederland.

I quit cold turkey, and kept my hands busy with crochet and other crafts. It also helped that no one in the house smoked so I wasn't around it. I didn't go out with friends who smoked for a whole month...to give me time to kick the habit. Now it doesn't even bother me to see someone smoke...I can't stand the smell actually, so I'm not tempted. You can do it! Talk to your dr. and get meds to help, anything it takes...just don't pick up another one. If you have family that smokes...ask them to smoke outside.
