Gosh, I hope it gets better...I got 4 pairs of dress pants, two mock turtleneck thingys with no arms (NO WAY am I gonna wear them without a cover...I still hate my arms) and two turtleneck sweaters that I can wear by themselves, and a jacket...I spent an assload of money ($350) for someone who is friggin' unemployed!! but hope that these will help me get through the first 6 weeks or so.....my daughter terrorized the sales staff, ran THROUGH clothes racks, and just generally was a pain in the butt....damn if I can't wait for my husband to FINALLY get off active duty and come home - when he gets home, I am going on vacation! Maybe to the spa...LMAO Thanks again for listening to me rant you guys...you're great! And I am going to strap my bike to the back of my honda and am gonna take it to work in case I get a chance to ride...

thanks, mbs - it was pretty demoralizing...the economy here in Houston at least doesn't seem to be impacted too bad with the whole mortgage mess, and it still took me almost 4 months to find something remotely paying comperable to my last one...oh well...keep chin(s) up!!! LOL

I'm a techie - I do work on computers, satellite and all things hardware and software related. the new job is actually an opportunity to create my own job, b/c it wasn't a position the company had before...I get to help people work out their computer problems, software conflicts, all kinds of good stuff...basically I think its going to be like help desk plus. Now how do I commute 40 miles one way, work 8-5, and fit in my gym and steps...or maybe I take my bike to work and ride it around the parking lot...? Anybody want to give me some suggestions on what they do? Also, what do people eat for lunch, etc.? I haven't had to worry about that since i've been home...protein drinks? Soups? Medifast? LOL I'm strating to worry about the have to get lunch and there is only fast food or stuff that I can't manage to get down...

You know, I had a little bit of that metal soreness thing...I ended up moving the darn thing around - wore it on my left tricep, wore it on either calf under my clothes, and generally moved it around 'til it didn't hurt. And, before you ask, the crap about it having to be on your right tricep only is garbage...its basically a computer running logs that don't change due to location...

Thanks Jules...I was bummed b/c FAT I could get a job...now I'm close to goal and feeling pretty good about myself physically I am now having the issues with NOT getting jobs....too weird!! I have an odd skill set, so maybe that's all it is.... Bike ride is off today due to rainy and cold for here (mid 50s) and I haven't broken down yet and bought serious biking gear due to $ situation and not wanting to buy clothes or stuff 'til size stabilizes...

okay - you asked...lol...I'm married, have an almost 4 yo daughter...am exiled to TX instead of being in God's country, MI.....came here after getting out of the Army in '05....gained a ton of weight and couldn't get it to come off after getting hurt in Iraq, so got the band...got the bugg...am now a gym rat of sorts...husband is currently on active duty so it makes the not eating crap part easier, but the band, little portions, and exercise helps...am planning to lose the last 10-15 by exercise more than "diet" per se...

have a women's hybrid Raleigh Passage 30 that I love...weather here is now nice enough that I can ride it, and am having a blast - bike doesn't hurt and its like being queen of the world!! LOL And as for being blue yesterday, well, I lost my job at the end of July...I have had 4 or 5 good interviews since, but still haven't gotten an offer...its frustrating, and I'm getting scared. I never had a problem finding a job when I was FAT! WTF???

that's why I love my bugg = I can see that cleaning up the house, sweeping, laundry, etc., helps. It really is eye-opening. When I'm at work, I would pace while talking on the phone, walked between emails, walked to farther bathroom, etc....it does add up...
