  1. You would know by now if it was stuck. You are probably fine just remember not to eat anything else:)
  2. Okay a couple months ago I was sick for 2 weeks. I went for a small fill and it was too much. I couldn't eat, I had days where it was all I could do to keep down Water. I went in and had some taken out and still the results were the same. I thought I needed another unfill but I kept sipping stuff very slowly and I mean tiny sips and finally after almost 2 weeks I was able to eat again with no problem. My point? Once you get stuck you swell and the swelling can last a while. Until it goes away completely you will keep having pain and nausea. I hope you feel better soon!
  3. It's possible that your band does have a small amount of fill in it from surgery. That small amount may be enough to curb your appetite.
  4. That is not true.My Lapband surgeon told me that If I have it removed I will gain all the weight back. He also said if I'm not having any erosion or slippage that it could be left in me until I die-and I'm only 31. There's no reason to remove it just because it's been 5 years.
  5. You should call your PS tomorrow and ask. So far the 2 I've talked to said I would have to do an unfill first.
  6. Thanks everyone. I had a total of 3 surgeries last year and did fine with each. I just need to relax a little.
  7. Oh he would definitely know I'm getting my thighs done but I'd rather tell him that it was one of the things that the doc noticed and said he could fix. Although, today I saw my sister in laws thighs up close and I feel much better with my own now. Hers look like mine and she's a normal weight. Hers was just from pregnancy weight gain.
  8. but then I remembered, a regular towel will actually wrap around me now and cover me up:) It's been years since that's happened. I decided to skip the beach towels.
  9. I asked about the BodyBugg a while back. Now I'm really wanting one! It's the most accurate way to figure out how many calories your actually burning every day right?
  10. Kelly, I was just coming to post the same thing:) I'm not losing any weight but last night I was able to take my jeans off without unbuttoning or unzipping them so even though I'm not losing my waist is shrinking and I'm fine with that:)
  11. I'm currently using my fitness pal but I'm stalled. It has me at 1200 calories a day.
  12. Okay according to that my BMR is 1516. So I would eat 1000 calories a day right? But what exercise calories? If I'm burning say 200 calories a day exercising do I still eat just the 1000 calories?
  13. I know this is going to sound so dumb but in a way I'm nervous and I want dh to go with me but then again he's never really looked to closely at my post weight loss body and I don't want him to now either. He knows my stomach is saggy, but he doesn't know that my upper thighs are and I don't really want him to know, I don't know why but I just don't want him seeing it. He knows I need a tummy tuck and he's on board with it but I'm also considering getting my thighs lifted and he doesn't know anything about that. I guess I'm just feeling insecure about my looks. Do I take him or not?
  14. I'm planning to get a tummy tuck and breast implants. I want this so badly and I know people do this every day with no problems, but I have one person that I know that's making me feel horrible. She says people die from plastic surgery and since I'm a mom and have little ones at home I shouldn't be willing to take that risk. Part of me knows she is right, people can die from plastic surgery but then again, the risk is low. Do you worry about this? How do you put it in perspective?
  15. I'm glad your doing good! I'm at a plateau:( But I keep eating right and exercising so eventually it will have to give right?
  16. Men do not think before they speak. Sorry hun:(
  17. Good Luck Monica!! I finally started back to college this Spring. We have 3 kids, ages 10, 4 and 1. It can be CRAZY at times! I've been exercising every day and you know what? It really does give me more energy. I would have never thought that. I feel great now and I hate to miss my workout.
  18. I currently weigh 160. I have about 20 more pounds to lose. I'm eating 1200-1400 calories a day. I get less than 100 grams of carbs and between 70-100 grams Protein. This week I added exercise. I've been doing 30 minutes on the treadmill daily. My weight has gone up a pound. A friend told me that I should eat more, but I'm scared to do that because I don't want to gain any more and I have a hard enough time eating the 1200 calories some days. How do you go about finding a good calorie goal?
  19. My stuff is all gone now:) Thanks everyone!
  20. I average 100 grams a day and I haven't had any problems.
  21. I can only eat dark meat chicken and I like white meat chicken. I see chicken recipes on Lap Band blogs and I'm thinking why? Can you really eat that? I haven't been able to in months.
  22. I took these daily at first:http://www.digestiveadvantage.com/prod_gas.html There a digestive enzyme and probiotic mix. They really stopped the gas for me. I haven't needed them in a while though. You can get them at Wal Mart. $8 for 40.
  23. I've only tried unjury plain and it wasn't all that. I've heard a lot of great things about Bariatric Eating's Plain Protein powder. It gets a lot of good reviews, I just haven't tried it yet. http://shop.bariatriceating.com/PURE-Unflavored-Whey-Protein-Isolate--28-servings-per-container--perfect-for-soup--New-Size-Packaging_p_278.html
  24. Congratulations!!!
