Gurgling and foamies - for no apparent reason?
Foam irks are typically a sign of irritation. Your body is producing mucus to lubricate and help something pass through. I haven't had them with my bypass but used to get them all the time with my band. If I had a bite that was too big or didn't chew well, ate too much, or ate something that globbed up and wouldn't pass. I can't imagine why cottage cheese wild be a problem, particularly 4 hours later. Did you eat anything else with it that could have obstructed? Feel well soon! 6 weeks post op and still cant eat without getting stuck
At 6 weeks you should be able to eat more. I was adding salads an veggies by then without problem. I vote call your doc, he needs to take a peek and make sure you don't have a structure or something else. If it was just occasionally I'd say maybe it's what you're eating or how you're eating but if it's every time then something isn't rightZ good luck!!!

And next....pumpkin baked oatmeal. Made it for tomorrow but we cheated and taste tested. It's a little bit of heaven, kind of custardy but has the heaviness of oatmeal. I used 1/2 scoop syntax vanilla bean Protein and 1% milk, added a dash of salt as well and 2 teaspoons of truvia instead of stevia. Per MFP the full serving is 238 calories with 28 carbs (6 are fiber) and 26 grams of protein. I'll only be able to eat half of it and I'll pour 1/2 cup warmed 1% milk over the top. (So roughly170 calories, 20 carbs (3 fiber) and 17 protein including the milk. Hopefully enough protein to keep me from dumping! We'll see. Yup, with my doc you can have low fat or fat free sour cream as soon as you go home from the hospital. I ate A LOT of retried Beans with cheese, salsa, and sour cream. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198- How about some NSVs!?!?

I lived on mine. Even took it to work the first ,onto (I was only off a week and a half). Had virtually no gas pain plus the post-op muscle pain was very well controlled. Two thumbs up from me! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198- Food Logs Discussion

You just click on serving size and select which you'd prefer then under that is number of servings, frequently my number of servings is 0.25 or 0.33. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198- Food Logs Discussion
Lol,haven't even thought about it. Will get back on the wagon Monday. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198- Health Care Spending Accounts and Vitamins
My experience as a provider had been that if I write a prescription for the vitamins then they qualify (and yes they can write a script for over the counter medications).- Turning to you pro's, I need a list of ?'s to ask Doctor.....
So I'm a band to RNY. I had band issues forever but eventually ended up with a slip and required urgent removal. I was to be revised to RNY at the same time. Much to my dismay, I woke up post-op after my band removal with no RNY. I had so much swelling and inflammation from the slip and my band was beginning to erode so the doc felt it safest to sew me up and send me home for 12 months to heal. Also, the upper portion of my stomach was stretched out from the slip so if he had done the RNY, he would have had to make my pouch larger than usual....I don't need a larger pouch!! Let me tell ya, it SUCKED!!!! I cried for days then was mad for weeks. When I went for my post-op I had absolutely no reflux, difficulty swallowing, in fact, I felt better than I had in the 3 years I'd been banded. So he upped my surgery to 6 months. Boy I'd I ever enjoy the holidays!!!! Ate like a pig and went back for my pre-op 30 pounds heavier. Oops. I'm now 7 months post op and love my RNY so much I wish I could marry it. It's been a little slice of heaven. I can eat anything as long as it isn't too carb heavy (I'm a dumper) or super greasy fried. I feel soooo good. My weight is slowly creeping down but I'm good as long as it keeps creeping. So questions I'd ask: differences between pre and post op diets between band and RNY. Recovery differences between the 2. Differences in supplements between them as well. Neither recovery was bad but I was much more tired for much longer after the RNY. I also had some major funky depression following both but RNY lasted right at 6 weeks. What can you as the patient do to be more successful with an RNY? I'll try to think of more. Labs fabulous, except my B12 is low, which is odd since I've been getting monthly B12 injections for almost 4 years and rarely miss em! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198 - Follow up becuase i wasnt feeling good
