Finally...

I am approved!! My insurance company denied the 1st request for band to sleeve but after the last upper GI showed the paraesophageal hitial hernia and reflux, sleeve was not the best option. The coordinator submitted the appeal last Tuesday. I was approved me for the gastric bypass. My letter came today. So excited and nervous at the same time!!

It's worth it. The worrying about it is worse than the doing it :)
i agree I had the sleeve two years ago then in May had the bypass done. No problems at all, apart from head hunger, which is still a struggle. But the operation was great no problems at all

Yay!!!! Life without the band is so totally awesome!!!! How long til surgery??

I hope so! I'm tired of this band and the issues with it. I'm not sure of a surgery date yet. The surgeon's office was closed by the time I got home today. Of all days, I didn't come straight home from work to check the mail. However I will be calling in the morning. Hopefully I can get in quick.

:) fingers crossed!!! Good luck!
