Having had 2 of the 3 surgeries and at times been on 2 of the 3 boards I can affirm that....same stuff, different day, some of us are just nicer about it! (Err, usually)

It appears no one can get past certain pages...sucks: most of the forums I read have gone on forever. Since you're at such a tender time I'd say start a new November thread and hopefully your other novemberers will find ya! Just make sure you post it under the right surgery, no telling what you'd hear if you stumble into the wrong one . And good luck!!! I was crazy the last couple days before mine...I was nesting trying to get everything done and ready just like when I had my son.

I HATE THIS.....so being a former lap band, I used to be on lap band talk until the negativity and fighting became ridiculous....I'm already seeing it here as a combined group and I've only skimmed 1 page. Ugh. I want RNY talk back

I too am a band to bypass revision. I was off work 5 days with my band and 7 days with my RNY. While I lost weight with the band, I also had complication with my band the entire time I had it. My surgeon rarely performs bands any longer because of the complication rate. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

THey just stitch it closed, no biggie, I had both at the same time and my recovery was really a piece of cake.
