    How about some NSVs!?!?

Not a doctor, but I wouldn't bet the farm on tight fitting clothing keeping your skin from sagging....however it can't hurt and I'm sure would smooth out the lumps and bumps I have from my loss!

    Puree foods HELP !

Sorry, purées just suck. There are people on here that purée normal meals and eat em (meatloaf, fajitas, etc) so that's one option (bleh!!!). I personally ate a lot of beans/bean Soups. Retried Beans thinned with a little chicken broth, add puréed salsa, shredded cheese, sour cream. Bean Soup cooked til it's mush and the vegetables are completely falling apart. Egg salad (boiled egg, dab of mayo, mustard, salt, pepper. At first I puréed this, then further out just used my fine grater to grate the eggs. Broccoli cheese soup puréed with my ninja, roasted squash soup also puréed. I was not super creative but the thought of pureeing meat horrified me!!! So I avoided meat for the most part. Oatmeal/cream of wheat but use caution, this is where I started dumping. sugar free pudding made with sKim or 1% milk, add a scoop of Syntrax nectar (pick your flavor) and stir with the pudding powder before adding milk. Covers the Protein flavor fairly well. 1/2 cup has 100 calories and 10 grams of protein. And of course, smooth Greek yogurt. I use dannon light and fit greek 2x the protein, 80 calories, 12 grams of protein. Play around with it! You'll find something you can tolerate. My emergency lunch meal was egg drop soup, just strain out the chunks. Lived off this for lunch during the week! Google the world according to eggface. She has many ideas. Her ricotta cheese bake (ricotta, mozzarella, spaghetti sauce) was also one of my purée staples! Good luck!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 204.2

    stressing

Connor is my biggest cheerleader. He hugged me while I was getting ready for work this morning and told me how proud he was of me for working so hard and losing so much weight. I swear he's a grown up in a 9 (he was 5 when i had my lap band and 8 when i had my rny) year olds body . I'm sitting here at soccer practice, hot as HELL!!!' But I'm not that parent over in my car with the a/c on missing it all, (and there are a bunch of them!!! It's a 3 hour practice, over 90 degrees and super humid) out here sweating like a pig but catching every second of it. You'll be fine and be amazed how much better you feel! I'm down just over 50 from surgery but 108 from my highest. My kiddo weighs 100 lbs...I cannot imagine how I drug all that around on me all those years! No freakin wonder I was so tired all the time! I'm always good for a pep talk if ya need anything!!!

    stressing

My ex and I separated when my son was 5 days old, then the ex went to prison, then the ex died....we had no contact with him since my boy was 5 days old so truly, I'm all he has as well. I know my parents would always take care of him and love him to death but I just kept thinking of him having no parent at all...and yeah I watched him sleep a lot the night before surgery . You're a mom, we worry, it's what we do. But yes, I am for sure a more involved and more active mom now, it's easy when you feel so good!!!!! And he LOVES that I can do so much with him now.

    stressing

If anything that makes it more scary 2 nights before surgery I spent the entire night bawling and writing the worlds longest letter to my 8 year old (in case I died and couldn't tell him everything I wanted to). Drama much????

    Am I the only one

I mix like 1/8 Special K protein or a dozen chopped up almonds in my Greek yogurt if I'm needing crunch. I get bored with it if I try to eat it plain day after day.
  9. Whomever said buy sample packs is right on! Unjury and Syntrax both have sample packs, I'd have em on hand and ready for post-op. taste is a very strange thing. I personally thought isopure was like drinking acid flavored with cat urine, but some people like it!

    Sensitive to smells

Luckily this resolved for me about 8 weeks post op....the worst was my 9 year olds shoes, dear lord, I could smell em half a house away! And the kitty litter box, I was OCD changing that thing at first.

    Am I the only one

I still eat cereal, there are a couple high Protein types now that are actually very good. I also have a cherry coke zero about once every 2-3 weeks. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 204.2

    Are you REALLY full?

Yup 2 bites extra can leave you miserable for an hour while the food passes....it's essentially aversion training. After you do it a few times you start to remember how bad it feels so you don't do it (usually) HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 204.2

    What ya eating tonight?

Sugar free cheese cake pudding made with 1% milk plus a scoop of syntax strawberry mousse. 1/2 cup is 100 calories and 10 grams of protein and as long as its super cold the protein taste doesn't come out. Whoop! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 204.2
  17. Tomorrow is a new day! Start fresh, no guilt, just do it!!! I had the standard 2 week liquid diet, my doc lets you have pickles the first week so I added cucumbers (because pickles are cucumbers right?!?!?) and the white from a boiled egg a couple times the first week, by week 2 the urge to cheat was better and it was easier to just roll with it. What ya eating tonight?

    What ya eating tonight?

Meatloaf, potatoes in cream sauce, green beans. And the best part is meatloaf sandwiches tomorrow!!! I've discovered I'm over estimating the size of my protein servings....thought I'd cut off 4 ounces, it turned out to be 2.2 oz. did the same thing with a pork chop the other day. Everything else I'm on track with the sizes....darn protein!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 204.2
