I was desperate for guidance. Found this gal on YouTube ...began duplicating her meal prep and following it to a tee. It has helped me. Along with all her other videos.
Give her a try.

Does anyone have any suggestions for Snacks for a Super Bowl party? I have succumbed to the fact that I will be having some red wine. Looking for some suitable snacks so I don't blow up the next day. Celery and broccoli get stuck in my band. Will probably have some yummy hummus. Obviously we can't have pizza. Any suggestions??

I totally understand and am right there with you. I lost 54 lbs initially but gained 15 back. I have an appointment with my very stern surgeon tomorrow afternoon and not very much looking forward to it. I haven't seen him in over two years. It took a lot for me to make the call but I'm glad I did. I need to go back to the basics. I still have restriction but I struggle with several things. I have never been good at not drinking while eating and I never get enough exercise. I'm anxious and nervous about my appointment tomorrow but I am taking my husband with me so that I will have him to be accountable to.Good luck to you!
I know this is an old post. As I read it. .... I'm going back to see my Doc after 2 yrs. I lost 50 and gained 20 back.

Will keep you all posted.

My insurance only covered follow up for the first year. My doc only does fills under fluro and the cash price is 1' date='200.00. I found another doc that will do fills for 200 for the first and 140 for any subsequent fills.[/quote']Wow! That's costly! $1,200!

you might want to ask your doctors office to contact your insurance company to see if fills are covered. when i talked to my insurance company they told me it was not covered but the bariatric surgeon i use for fills was some how able to get them to cover it. it could just be the treatment code they use that makes all the difference. it's worth a shot.I'll try that.
I go this Friday. Scheduled it for a pay day WITH commission...lol!!!!!

My initial LB surgery, was covered. Left the job I was at, new insurance has.... NO Bariatric coverage.
Haven't been to my Dr. In 2 yrs. Gained 30 outta the 50 I lost! That said, no insurance, I was told the follow- up visits would be $150 (no fill) $250 with fill.
Is this normal? (In the US. Virginia)

I need help getting back on the right trak. Of course, I know what I should be doing. I was banded in Nov. 09 and lost weight very slowly only about 30lbs. Now I've gained 20 of that back and I believe I need an adjustment, because I am making poor nutritional choices. I can't even eat half a sandwich, but I can eat a lot of ice cream and candy.... I am embarassed to go back to the doc's for an adjustment. Should I be? Has anyone been in this situation? I went to our local meetings for about 6 months, everyone was losing enormous amounts of weight. Not me, I got discourage. Please help me. Let me hear your story. Thanks so much and God bless to all!
Terri

Banded 7/2010. Lost 60 first year. Gained 40. Lost 28 of that.
Refuse to weigh myself at home. Only on Dr. scales.
I too am slow loser. Very frustrating. I workout 4 + times a week normally.
