  1. Try unflavored Whey protein in skim milk. I prefer the "nothingness" of it over all the flavors. You get an extra protein boost from the skim milk but it does have calories.

Try non-fat greek yorgurt with a spoonful of fruit spread in it. It is a big hunk of slippery protein and it goes down well. I also love really thin deli turkey wrapped around an piece of avocado. The avocado makes it slide a little easier.

Hi! I'm a lower starting weight person, too. I was banded 1/11/10 and was 181#. I had my second fill yesterday for a total of 4.0 in the band and I now weigh 170. It is not a cure all, I'm hungry a lot. I'm 5-3 and should weigh about 130. I'm a 50 year old tennis player and my knees are going-- that was my primary reason for banding. I paid cash in the LA area. NOT 1 800 get slim.... I live in So Cal by the beach with all the skinny, pretty people. You are probably younger than I am (the surfing has me guessing that) but I'm just a bit ahead of you in band time, so email me privately if you want more info about my first 7 weeks. Good luck. I'm feeling like it was money well spent even this early. My email is groupoften@aol.com. My first name is Jan.
  4. Hi, You are in my boat! I was banded on 1/11/10 in Marina Del Rey by Dr. Jeremy Korman. My weight on banding day was 181 and I had a bmi of 31. I'm 5'3". I'm pretty fit for a chub. I play a lot of tennis, ski etc but I've been having more and more trouble with my knees. I've been the same weight for the last 13 years since my last child was born. Dr. Korman didn't have any trouble banding me at all! He was all for maintaining a fun, active lifestyle. I had NO other medical issues but slowly getting less and less active because of knee pain. Oh, of course, I'm a cash patient. A lot of cash. I went for my first fill today. 2.5cc in a 10 cc band. I've lost 10 pounds! I couldn't be more thrilled. I'm still using a LOT of self control in the eating department but I have to say, I'm less obsessed with food. I long for the 'sweet spot' people talk about. I hope this helps. Don't give up. :scared2:
  5. Did you know that Target sells a NO SUGAR ADDED Muscle Milk? It is very good and have a LOT of protein

Good morning! It is 3am and I'm wide awake at home dealing with 3 barfing boys and my banding was yesterday morning. I've never wash my hands this much in my life -the doc says it is highly contagious. I'm sore but nothing that 10cc of loritab can't fix. I have a question. When I went into surgery yesterday morning I weighed 178 pounds and I came out at 185?? Is it just the fluid they pumped into me? If some of you have experience with starting in Onderland banders I'd appreciate hearing about your early days. Thanks much, GROUPofTEN:confused:
