  1. Hi! Thank you so much for responding. I don't know about you, but I kinda feel in the dark with some things... I guess because it's such a life change. I guess I am most upset because I did not know the band would not be filled until 6 weeks out and that until then, there would be no restriction. My doctor told me this the night before surgery. Auggh! I guess I'm like a kid who has a new toy and wants the batteries for it NOW. 6 weeks seems like a lifetime! My poor husband - I know I am driving him nuts. I just got out my South Beach diet and am looking for some ideas... I'm also learning to knit. I need something to do so I'm not tempted to snack!!! Good for you- down 8 pounds- you rock!!!!

  2. Hey Jessica- It's Jaxmom! How are you doing? I see that you lost 20 pounds- that's awesome! I had my surgery in the Dominican on Wednesday the 6th and came home on Sunday. After the surgery I felt pretty good except the horrible pain in my shoulder- I saw you had that too!

Question for you- What kind of post op diet are you on? My doctor in the DR was very vauge... also, when do you get your first fill? I'm so worried- I feel like I can eat and have no restriction!! It's very fustrating. Kinda like the whole "having a new car and no gas" anaology I have seen on the postings... how much have you lost since the actual surgery? I am only down 9 pounds... kinda dissappointed... Hope you are well- look forward to hearing from you!

  3. Hi Jewel! Where do you live? I am in Mandarin. Is Dr. Webb doing your surgery? I loved him when I met him but my insurance didn't cover it here, so I'm off to the Dominican. I talked to Elizabeth at St. Vincent's and they are going to do my fills. It's going to be pricey, but I really don't have a choice, do I? :)

Are you a pre-surgery diet? I have just been told to go low carb- yeah, right with the holidays and two small kids that's easy... right...

Good luck on your exams!!! Thank god my college days are over. Don't get me wrong- I had a blast but exams killed me. Where are you in school and what is your major?

Have you been told what a normal "day" of food is going to look like for you? I have been searching this site... I just can't picture it...

So glad you found me! BTW- My name is Jennifer :)

  4. Hi Jewel! Looks like we are gonna be band buddies! Where are you having surgery? I am excited and scared... I'm just wondering what it's going to be like after- socializing, with family, etc. How are you doing with everything?
