  1. I am 2 months out from surgery and had my first fill a month ago. i don't feel alot of restriction but my calories are at 1,000 to 1,300, i work out 5 days a week, i can eat almost anything as long as it is slowly. I am losing weight slowly. but do i want my cals too much lower than that do i? i am sticking to the plan, doing the work, sometimes i am starving but after a cup of food i am full, and i make good choices 99% of the time, so should i wait on the second fill?

  2. Hello, i live 2 hours away from a support group and am seriously considering starting one. I have had people interested. Any advice on starting one, i havent been to a WLS support group but i believe it would be very helpful for myself and others. (this is for the Oregon Coast), thanks,

  3. hi, i am a month post-op, i had my first fill a week ago. I've had weeks where i am starving and can eat anything, and now i do not want to eat anything. i am not complaining. I keep track of cal and amounts and Protein and Water. I also work out 5 times a week, but i am finding i am only getting 500 to 600 cals a day which is not enough to exercise. I am eating mushies, almost regular food. Any suggestions for food that would help, everything i eat has no cals or i can only eat a tiny amount. B)

  4. I have been walking for a year and wanted to kick it up a bit, i found a workout room down the road at the pool. So, mwf's i walk there, and do the stationary bike, weights, treadmill, and elliptical and walk home. On t/th's i do the bike, treadmill and then get in the pool and do like 3 exercises there.

because i do the recumbant bike 5 days a week, two of those days i sprint and 3 of those days i do endurance, so far i am not doing a ton of time on each piece of equipment, but everyday i go i make it a little harder, i am looking forward to seeing results, i am one month pre-op, and have been cleared for all of this, it's exciting, i love having a plan instead of walking in there and feeling stupid, it works,

  5. Hey, got my first fill today. Also saw the nutritionist and had a million questions answered (Very Helpful), and had an upper GI, busy day! Got like one and a half cc's, very, very quick, did hurt a little. On liquids now for 2 days, then puree and mushies. Yaaa! just kidding, Haven't been able to eat all day cause of the UGI, had a Protein Shake when i got home, everything has gone great so far, only prob is Constipation, and i learned today what to do and what not to do, i did not know that Iron tablets could be a culprit, learn something new everyday, i hope everyone is having a good day!!!! this smiley cracks me up,

  6. Thank you so much for you help, it is greatly appreciated. I just needed some encouragement and a sign back to the path, i can see now what i need to change. I live in a small town with no support groups and this website has been very helpful over the months, both for getting ready and now.

    Thanks again. :wink2:

  7. I am 18 days out from surgery, mainly i cannot complain, i have had no nausea, i stopped my pain meds the day after surgery, and everything has been going great.

But, the last two days my appetite has returned like a lion. I am eating exactly what i am supposed to, getting good Protein, and my cals for far have risen to about 900. all the Vitamins, writing everything down meticulously. Tonight i made ground turkey with taco flavoring and refried Beans, in itself it is not a bad meal, i pureed it, but i ate fast and alot, like a cup and a half, i felt like i was binging. on the 15th i am supposed to have a fill, is this "bandster hell?", i feel like i am starving all of the time. i am having a bit of an issue with getting enough Water. will this get better? :wink2:
