  1. Same issue here lost about 110 since jan of 2011. Since then a 40 lb. gain im at full restiction with my band. I cannot even take medication without out feeling it dissolve. I can offically say I eat two to three bites of food and I will explode. I work out heavy 4 to 5 times a week durring that time I generally try to burns 500 calories or more. But since april of 2011 my weight hasnt moved my doctor has considered gastric sleeve due to the diabetes preventing from losing...on a side note when losing the major early weight it fell off instantly -but my waist area was not changing as rapidly as my arms breast legs ( I had no butt to begin with) I got tiny in the middle section between my boobs and love handles ... But the love handles front tummy /pouch never changed size thats when I saw all the red flags that maybe due to my medical history I may have chosen the wrong surgery.


  2. Same boat here. 2 years post op. Lost 110lb gained 41 lb back. Did lots of emotional eating. Got really lazy. Stopped workingout regularly. Had to visit my doctor and began to cry because I didn't realize how much damage I did. Had to get back on that horse again. Got a extreme fill which I feel hasn't done a thing. Started working out a little bit. I miss that feeling of confadence. I could do any thing. I have such jealousy to my bf that decided to do bypass a year ago and looks fantastic . I feel horrible for saying im jealous. But I am but right now there are days I will bust my butt and days I give up. But I need to keep going because its about me, and my health. One day at a time.

  4. I lost 100lbs !!!! my goal is 180... but I am so proud of my self I feel great. I now weight 240ish ... My working out is accelerated and topnotch and feels fun and exciting and not a chore .. I working on toning areas I definitly see the droop of everything forming at my lower waist and pooch area...


  5. appeal it anyways with a letter of medical ness. it'a a insurance co. job to prevent and discourage you. They not going to say Oh yes well pay for that 35k lab band... NO go to your gyn, primary doctor, and endocrinlolgist, dieticain, you pay for those appointments request a letter... send them in do the 30 day wait... then it should be yeah or nay... if ney then then there's is lawyers with your surgeon's office that will fight with your insurnace co...


  6. Hello.. Today is 8 months. I am down 76 lbs, I am 271, was 347 : ) feeling great. I see the changes. Boobs, face, flabby sags. The shirt and bra sizes are getting smaller. I am tall and carried my weight in my stomach, pooch, and very large love handles. I feel like my pants/ waist line, hasn't changed much. I feel like the skin is dropping down and making me look bigger than I was in some areas.. I definitly feel the comfort in my pants there not skin tight, or gutt renching squezzing. I think I'm getting pickier now about my appearance. Anyone else having any feeling like this? I don't want to loose sight of my goal and want to keep my self focused I think Im hard on my self to keep my goal in check.


  7. Hi Just a follow up... it's been 7 month on July 5th. I'm so proud and actually happy. I am ahead of my goal. My goal is 10lbs a month. I'm at 72 lbs down. My friends keep telling me to get new clothes, and to stop hemming my closes every month. I recently when on a airplane I had no trouble with the seat belt.. I almost had tears i front of a complete stranger. I can now run with out gasping for air. My hair is kind-of subsiding from falling out. I have had one fill of 4 cc's in march. I have a lot more to go though but so far this is worth it. I would like to know for the January banster's how many fills have you had and how much Fluid are you at? Have you had a unfill ?

Starting weight 347, I have been banded since 1/5/10 lost about 55 lbs so far.. i have had one fill. only 4cc's the doctor pushed me to get 7 but I was having trouble swallowing and could feel it being to uncomfortable.. need another one bad.. not allot restriction.( only on some days) I have been doing Water areobics since my 2nd week after surgery. I love it my arms and legs are toned it's a fun work out doesn't even feel like it's a work out it's fun.. it's easier to push your self in the water than the treadmill or eliptical. I do a regular work out 2 or 3 days a week and a early saturday morning water areobics class.


  9. Get your orginal letter of medical ness. Send it in w/ your paper work from the ER w/ confrimation of dehirdation and medical stress. I would suggest to send in anything else that got you approved in the beginning. also call your insurance and see what your benefits for urgent emergency coverage. If the do no change the cost you owe.. there are lab band lawyers to assist you.


  10. My Boyfriend of five years is an ass.. I have done the banding and I have dropped about 55lbs.. Now were at the same weight ! This, or My sucess is killing Him! He now take me out and splurges on sulpee's blizards chips hostess crap begs me to particapate in his junk food buffet.. He has signed up at our local gym ... to support me ??? NO to pay $300.00 on his own personal traniner and fitness boot camp.. and wont wait to walk the dogs together even though we get home in minutes with in each other.. then runs in to the bath room HONEYYYY ! I'm at blah blah what are you? I have stopped weighing my self at home just in the privacy of the ladies locker room.. He said comments oh your going to leave me and whos calling you and Oh why are you looking in the direction of that man... I dont recieve any complaments. I'm getting really tired of his crap support me not work againest me. I feel ... Mad that he wants to compeat.


  11. 1. you sound stressed: stress prevents most of out bodys from loosing and going back to bad habits. get a mani or pedicure.. massage haircut, scalp treatment- AKA HEAD MASSAGE W/ EVERY SALON DOES IT'S ABOUT$25.00 "pamper" your self

    2. No more Munching.. I suggest you find your self a new addiction mines -DIET snapple is mine.. Chew gum sugar free get some mints. And buy any flavor of sugar free Jello and or pudding. I love the chocolate..( FIND ZERO CALORIE Snacks IF YOU MUST MUNCH..

    3. Distract your self from snacking..BUY THE BIKINI OR THE DRESS OR THE DREAM..EVEN IF IT DOENST FIT YET.. think of your goal your dream.. . it's really hard when I see my size 0 co-worker chowing down on everything.

    4. find a new work out routine... Water areobics, cycling, step dance, ect.. at least commit to it for 2 weeks and you should feel that giddy feeling of structure back in your life..

  12. I'm 6 weeks out I cannot due bread--- period im in pain ....if i eat it .... I think bread is a useless carb not enough Fiber anyways and it's too bulky... I think there a dozen other things I can eat besides bread. spinach wraps low sodium tortill's pita- and whole wheat or if you reall need that bread niche( totally understandable) buy pillsbury biskets or cresan rolles there softer and Lighter on your pouch you can find whole wheat too..... I would suggest focus on you protien, dairy, fruit and vegtables

I would suggest the vegaterian meal and switch your marker's the circle things for the food that you flip .. the vegaterian meal is 20.00 and you can just ask the meat guy to throw your boy an extra slice and have him slide it to your plate if you want it.. but they have awesome cheesie broc, and lobster bisque, Soups and black olvies fresh mozeralla and goat cheese.. and sushie and fresh veggies salad's like potatoe salad egg salad really nice deviled eggs... the have all sores of stuff but don waste the funds on the main dinner... this is what i did when i went..


  14. I use to take byetta before surgery. And I am courious if it would give me the energy back that I used to have an give me back the frequent "movements" which I seem to never have.... lol anyways pls let me know if you or any of your doctor's have suggested it.


  15. Every relationship is based on forgivness. Each relationship has up's and downs. But it is certianly up to you to continue to forgive someone, about there " bs" .. However if your ablity to LOVE is hurting you more you need to re-evalute your relationship. A relation w/ another person should be valued not a job or task or headache or daybreaker, you should gain happiness, self satisfation, comfort in that someone. Just ask your self .. are you hurt are you happy. Why is this person of value to me and finally is the comfort and satisfaction given back or are YOU constantly making that effort between you too.. and Can you forgive?.....


  16. I was banded on 1/5/10 I dont beleive I havn't experianced this sliming.. When it happen's will I know? I don't mean to get graffic.. but I'm assuming it's the urgency feel like a vomit or a choke.. w/ lot of stomach Fluid. Only reason I ask is because ever since I've had this procedure, I felt more flemmie and post nasal drip... and have a lump in my throat.. Most of the time I feel full I stop because I'm in fear in what could happen and some times if I just pushed myself I get the shoulder pain ( with liquids or heavy foods)...


  17. :thumbup: Banded 1/5/10 and I am still feeling slight shoulder Pain Near the collar bone. I have burpie hicups and some times they Give me a jolting pain. I havent thrown up yet but I am super scared to and Eat slow very slow,, I eat everything pureed and Make sure I'm getting protien. My doc wants me on cream Soups but it's not filling and if i have any more broth or cream Of somthing I really want to gag.. so I make beef or chicken stews and soups navy bean and split pea and pureed everything I live off sugar free Jello pudding yogirt popsicles and carnation instant Breakfast, II package everything in 1/2 cup containers and can finish and feel satisfied. My stitches are healing I have a index finger long incision and my area where my port is very sore,,, I just want to make sure I am doing everything ok. Can anyone let me know if I am doing something wrong or a big NO NO's . I think Im doing good I am down 23lbs but any advice is useful. Thank you


  18. :thumbup:Started 6/19/2009 and will be banded 1/5/10 .. it's a process and all worth it... you go thru several task's dieticians, pshcyologist visit's general md's and blood work ultra sounds and x'rays. I suggest taking one day off per month and knock them down. Thay way you don't kill your self with co-pays and bills. During this time your motovation will be your deitican visits and your dreams you have at night.
