  1. Wow. look at you Lori! as tmf said you look like a totally different person, and so happy! You look great, I like the hair color, too!
  2. I don't order kids meals, because they usually are not anything I would eat. Many restaurants now have 1/2 meals. They're usually okay for me to eat. I don't usually order drinks with my meals. I stick to Water with lime(if available) or lemon.
  3. I was not even allowed to eat for 4 hours after a fill. 1st 2 days it is clear liquid 2nd 2 days full liquids. Perhaps, depending on what your surgeon allows, you need to add more liquids or protein to your diet.
  4. Has anyone who's ever been too tight felt nasal mucus? Yes, if my liquid stays in my throat when doctor gives me a fill, he says I am too tight. I would think post nasal drip would be similar. But it still goes to say, she needs to tell her surgeon if it has happened since her fill
  5. totally agree tmf!
  6. Have you called your surgeon? It sounds like, possibly, your fill was too much too quickly! Best wishes.
  7. James, that is good reason too!
  8. That's the way I handled it too! No one needs to know about your surgery unless you tell them. My close friends and family knew, others just got the generic answer. best wishes.
  9. This is interesting, waiting for comments!
  10. We haven't seen much sun in a couple days now, here in the "sunshine" state. Going to take my walk inside, probably Sams Club today. Have a great weekend, everyone!
  11. Walked for 2 1/2 miles outside before the humidity got to us this am. Was good, tho'!
  12. I'll match you there! I spent yesterday on a field trip to Legoland with a bunch of 3rd graders! I walked around for 5 hours because my grand daughter doesn't ride roller coasters! Congrats on your Busch Gardens day!
  13. I have had the same problem since my band revision 2 years ago. Just hang in there. Right now, until you reach green you will feel like you are on a diet, again! Best wishes.
  14. Not necessarily needed restriction as Satiation when eating. You appear to be looking for something to stop you from eating. You won't find it if you are eating sliders. Don't make your band so tight that you can't eat anything except sliders. Best wishes, looks like you are doing fine if you lost 6 lbs in one month. Please update your stats if you have not. Thanks.
  15. Yes, that was one of the 1st things I said when answering this originally. Liquids in, liquids out! do not be afraid, just stay near the potty!
  16. I don't agree with not getting soft stop when having a smoothy or shake. I do get one. I can only usually consume about 8 oz. Then I get the warning to stop. I used to be able to get a huge smoothie from Tropical smoothy and drink it all. No more!
  17. You all so right. My hubby has said more than once if our kids weren't ours they wouldn't be our friends!
  18. Hi, Jim and your hubby are right. you need to see the doctor. It is not normal to be having the problem you are having. Make sure that you haven't had a slip. If it has been 2 years since your appt or even 6 months, you should go to get an update on you!Best wishes.
  19. Hi Marfar, I also, had my surgery in Oct 2009. After a revision in Nov 2011, I have never been able to lose. I gradually gained but my surgeon is not worried. I used to have reflux, but since my last fill(of .02 cc)I no longer get reflux. I am not sure why. I have good restriction, tho'. Best wishes to you all with reflux. Karen
  20. Cg great affirmation of your goals!
  21. Jack is right, get an x-ray. Have you seen your bariatric doctor?
  22. We need to wake up the Vets, again! Jim, I like your quote from Dr. Simpson!
