  1. Sure, go into the welcome threads and welcome folks to their new way of life!
  2. Welcome to the site! Best wishes on your new goal! i know with an active life like you have that losing weight will make it easier and better.
  3. You go girl, that is a most excellent NSV!
  4. You CAN do it! Many of us have done the same diet. As Terrydumont46 said, you can have sugar free popcicles, broth, crystle-lite, and I also had Hot and Our Soup, broth only from a Chinese Restaurant. I found it more satisfying than just having broth. But, something a lot of people won't tell you, be aware, liquids in, liquids out, so don't be surprised or too worried abut that fact. Best wishes
  5. Glad it was your 1st, hopefully your last, but probably not! Just take it easy, try not to rush the stages.
  6. Thanks, Alex, I hope that you had a great Passover/Easter, too!
  7. I agree, sounds like you might have low potassium. I am glad that you are seeing your doctors! Best wishes, hope that they can diagnose the problem, and fix it!
  8. Hang in there. The 1st couple months are almost just dieting! Restriction, usually, comes after a couple fills. Some lucky people never need fills and have restriction right a way, that was not me! In 2009, I had surgery in November, and did not really lose much until spring.
  9. Sounds delightful, I eat a lot of tilapia and salmon. I think that I actually have tried my fish this way, too. But I bake it, instead of pan frying.
  10. Good article and advice. Thanks! Reading food labels is just another of the things we need to do to be our own health advocates!
  11. I agree with what everyone else has said. However, you probably just strained yourself, and need to stick to liquids for a day or two. Best wishes/ (do call your surgeon's office, tho)!
  12. congrats on a great NSV!
  13. Hey b-52, I haven't found the "perfect" balance since having a revision 2 years ago after a slip. Hope that you are good now!
  14. Not his time, but I have problems with Anesthesia and have to advise the surgical staff of that before they put me under. Best wishes, maybe since they know now, it will be okay!
  15. Went to Disney World Hollywood with children and grands, walked around for about 6 of the 8 hours we were there. This morning I have a meeting that will mean no chance to exercise today. Boo! Have a great weekend.
  16. I need to get a bike! I walked outside today, it hasn't been outside weather this week, much. So, mostly I have been walking on my treadmill.
  17. I am glad you said that, I thought it but didn't want to offend you!
  18. probably your weight is adjusting in other places. Are your shirts looser? Maybe your shoes are looser! Weight loss is sneaky, it shows up in funny ways! Best wishes, tho'! Men usually lose quicker. Karen
  19. congrats, NSV are better than scale for me!
  20. I agree, see a doctor ASAP. This is not normal a normal reaction. Best wishes, Karen
  21. I stayed in today but did and 1 hr and 15 mins on the treadmill this morning!
  22. Well I drive 1 hour to my doctor's office in Zephyrhills. We really need to get together some of us Central Florida folks on here. I don't think I can host a group, but wouldn't mind joining one with some of the other folks from Bariatric pal. Karen
