  1. Congratulations Tom on your bandiversary! Great post, I hope some newbies read it and take it to heart!
  2. Congrats Tara-U, you are doing great!!!!
  3. Happy Independence day to us in the USA and to Canada whose day was last week!
  4. I once did not recognize myself in the overhead mirror going into a store! and my daughter looked up and down the aisles for me, and I was right there!
  5. hey karen i am with you like i told lizzie and others, i dont post as much for those very reasons you stated....hard to get (slammed) day in and day out when i advise to use common sense, call the dr and last but not least, be patient its the world of fast food and quick results and if it dont happen....OMG lets have a striped pink and green cow.... but i remember clearly where newbies started i recall it well.....i also recall it from a 336+ pound woman stand point it was either do it....or get bigger..there was no turning back for me ANYHOW i love ya my fl friend ♥ Thanks Cg, I love you too! I, also, remember the 250 lb me! I remember being hungry(head hunger), and being told by my surgeon there is no way you are hungry, you just think you are. I remember sitting in church, right after surgery, and hearing my tummy talk to me during the sermon loud enough that the person sitting next to me could hear. BUT, we don't know what we are talking about. The newbies are the experts that the other newbies want to listen to. So, this is my only refuge! Would say the veterans, but I see others in there , too! Talk to you all later.
  6. Oh, I probably won't leave, just go silent for awhile.
  7. Okay, I am a little upset, and ready to disappear for a while. A newby said she was super hungry but could feal full drinking her Water. I suggested that she had "head hunger". Other newbys and she said "well we know head hunger and its not". So, I will keep my mouth shut and go silent for awhile. Later folks. Karen
  8. Sounds wonderful, and so happy to wish you a happy bandaversary! Sounds like your 4th of July party will be fantastic and a real coming out party!
  9. Great ideas for a vacation and just in general for summertime outings. Thanks Alex!
  10. Never compare your surgeon's pan to someone else's. it does sound drastic, but may have a reason.
  11. Woah! Mrslb5, you are a sure sign that walking helps! Looking good. Keep up the good job!
  12. My surgeon primes with about 3 cc, but it sounds like your surgeon is more aggressive.
  13. Head hunger folks! If you can fill your stomach with drinking your water, for the next few days do so. Only increase your diet as the surgeon's office okays. If you need something other than what is on doctor's plan, call the office 1st!
  14. Knapptown, sounds like you are doing great. keep on keeping on!
  15. If you lost 35 lbs in 3 months, and are satisfied with tour meals. You sound like you are, I would pass on the fill for now. In fact, my surgeon wouldn't even offer one. Best wishes, you are doing fine.

  22. I think about 2 years ago the same thing happened to me. I have lived in the neighborhood 7 years, and the man who this is about moved int he same time. We had been living 2 doors down and all of a sudden he needed to introduce himself to me, again! I wasn't sure if it was alzheimer's, I guess it was just the change in my appearance! Congrats to you!!!
  23. What an awesome NSV! Congrats!!
