Any Central Florida Bandsters out there??
Hey, Mary, where do you live? My daughter was banded in November 2009. She is 40 and been married for 9 years. She has lost only about 40 lbs, but keeps her band kind o loose. She is about 20-30 lbs from goal, now. She goes to the same surgeon as I do and lives across the street from me. She is not very active on this site, tho. Karen

Boobies question
Mine shrunk significantly. I was 42-44 dd, I am now 36 d. I have been measured as 34 c or d, but find I prefer my underwire 36 d brs, so even buy new at same size. It was excitiing for me to go to Victoria Secret to purchase them. I haev lost 100 lbs, but noticed the size change start at about 30 lbs. Good luck, Karen (kll724) PS: I have worn good bras from Victoria Secret since starting to loose weight, I had gotten 3 for Christmas in 2009. I wore them all for 9 months, until they were way big, them gave them to Salvation Army as a donation. I didn't feel too bad about that as I got a lot of wear out of them.

Almost 100lbs gone.
Congrats, Chuck. My own son will start his journey in January, after he changes insurances. He is at about what you started at. I know that he would definitely celebrate 100 lbs lost. So yes, celebrate, but not with food! 100 lbs got me to goal. And I was and am happy, too! Karen (kll724) PS: you look great!

My clothes don't hurt!!
Yay! I was a 22w, and finding them tight. I just a Lee jean, and it was size 8. I haven't worn this size in 36 years. Thanks for the uplifting post. And, I had bought myself a coat from Goodwill, in the spring, to go to Grand Canyon. It was a 14, I took it back to Goodwill, because it was way big! Karen(kll724)!

Less padding
Me too! I have, until this weight loss, always had extra butt. In fact, when I was young(many moons ago, a fellow asked my friend if I went to "Fredericks of Hollywood" for extra padding. That was when I weighed 120 lbs! Now, I have no butt, and can feel my pelvic bones, too! Oh, the trials of being a thinner woman. now!

Well, finally had to have it removed
Good luck in your life without the band. Now that you have lost the weight, you can maintain. It won't be easy, just remember to eat small portions and what got your weight loss. It wasn't just your band, it was YOU, too!:DKaren(kll724)

I look like a slob!
I was wearing a pair of hand-me-down jeans, yesterday. they were very loose, and I was tired of pulling them up. We were at Sears, Christmas shopping. I said how about if I pick up a pair of jeans? he said, "You know, I was happy to have to buy you new clothes, but you are getting clothes crazy, now" What a great thing to do, because I am now wearing size 8 Lee jeans! I am down from 22w since Oct.30,2009. I am now. officially smaller than when I had my son 36 years ago.Congratulations to us all, with our NSV!!!

Have you ever got hit around the port?
I, also, have never been hit. But, I have placed a heavy box, where I normally would have carried it before lap-band, and had to quickly move it off the port and carry it properly using my arms, instead. So, I guess, the answer would be to be careful, but not overly indulgent of the port site, in the future. Karen (kll724)

Not alone...
Welcome, Blair, and others new to the site; I have been here since Nov. 3,2009. I had my surgery on Oct.30,2009, but did not reach out for support until after the surgery. I needed someone, just as you do, to talk to about emotions, diets, and victories, too! So, I hope that you will find that here with this group, they are great support! Karen (kll724).

I was on the local news - Lap Band Interview!
Wow! I agree with the others, you do look fabulous! Congratulations on helping to spread the news. We need more folks to get the word out. I have had my lap-band for 13 months, and am at goal. My son is going in January for his 1st apt, after his new insurance takes over, because he saw my success. Karen (kll724)

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot
Hey, Phyl, and anyone else around, Are we the only people that have returned to the site? I see that you post on another group, too. I haven't posted there, but might if this one doesn't get any action. I am back to not being able to keep much down, again. I had redskin mashed potatoes on Thursday, they got stuck. Then, Friday I think, I had some Chinese. Obviously, a bad choice, now, I can't really eat solids, and liquids are slow to go down. I have an apt. on Wed, so hopefully if the problem doesn't resolve, he will be able to help me. I tried chili last night, I have burped and had to take ant-acid ever since. Yuck!! Other than that, I am good, getting ready for the holidays. Trying to get my shopping done. Well, take care. Karen(kll724)

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot
Hey, everyone, I miss you all! I don't like the new format. It's hard to find the forums you want. Anyway, I haven't seen many folks since mid-November when this thing went down. Life is good. I've been real busy with family, the holidays and doing service project with my church group. So far, I've done well this month in maintenance. My family practitioner was real proud of my weight loss, again. She adjusted my blood pressure meds for 2 weeks, then she might take me off all together. Yeah! Well talk to you all later. Karen(kll724)

Do you eat soup?
After a fill, it is the only thing that I can eat, also. But, some days, I crave mashed potato, cheese soup. I have not had a problem eating it, and it stays with me, too. But, I can't tolerate chunky soups, I have a tendency to not chew them. Karen(kll724)

Do you eat peanut butter??
Peanut butter is one of my mainstay proteins. I eat it with crackers for a lunchtime meal. I, also, eat it to boost my vanilla, banana shakes. I, however, try to stick to 1 tablespoon serving. Best of luck, Karen(kll724).

Going for ANOTHER unfill and feeling kind of down!
I got restriction with only 3.2 fill. In the spring I had 5.5, but then around June I could not keep anything down and had reflux all night long. My surgeon removed everything and gradually put back in. In August he put in 1 cc and I had no restriction still. He put in another 3.2, and then I was too tight. I now have 3.2 cc and am just right! As teh other person said, everyone's body is different and reacts differently to fill. Karen(kll724)
