    Newbie with a Question

Hi, I agree, I do not think it will affect your insurance approval however, it MAY give you a co-morbidity factor. This is something you may want to ask when you attend the seminar. Good luck!!!
  2. Ok, so this is my visitor posting. I'm a newbie, don't really know what to talk about except that I am really excited to change my life. I have not been banded yet. I am waiting on insurance approval. Have done all the qualification appointments, talked to all the people I can that live/are around me. Now, I have signed up for this site at the nudging of my surgeon. I do not intend on telling anyone of my surgical plans. The ones that know are 2 very close friends that support me wholeheartedly, my husband, and my boss will know when I get a date. My boss will be the hardest to tell, she's thin and hasn't ever had a weight problem. I only plan to be out of work 2 days. That is what my Dr is telling me it will be. I want to lose about 80 pounds and from the start of this journey 6 months ago (My first Surgeon consult) I have already lost 10 and just knowing that by doing the sensible eating thing helps me to know I am on the way to a better me.

    Looking for Support

Hi Jennifer, My name is Sandy and I am brand new to this site! I too am thankful for it in hopes that I may find some additional support people here. I am not telling people of my decision to have this type of surgery. My husband, a friend who had the RNY procedure done in July and another close friend are the only people that know right now. I have not had the surgery yet however am only waiting on the insurance company. As far as I know all paperwork and follow-ups are complete. :tt2: I'm hoping maybe you, other bandsters and this site will be my source of great support and new friendships. as the support groups that are in my area are all geared around the RNY procedure people!

    New and ready

Hi Realtruelady, I have just started on this site and am finding it very helpful for me altho there do not seem to be anyone that is in my local area... Good thing, I guess, since I intend to not tell anyone that does not really need to know. I have had all my apointments and the Dr has written to the insurance company. I am playing the waiting game now. I am praying for a quick acceptance and then a surgery date. Can you tell me how you got your dates and the ticker thing on your profile? I would like to add mine and have been struggling with it. :tt2:
  5. I don't have a date for my surgery but Thursday thru Tuesday is what I am planning too. I also have an office job. I think we'll be fine with it!
