  3. I booked my surgery and 2 weeks to the day I was banded. I tried not to worry about anything and I read everything I could about the surgery. I even found on this site the taped surgery.. cool I Flew to Toronto 6 am on the day of my surgery had the surgert at 11 so that day I really had no time to worry. The worst for me was the shoulder pain from the gas. I looked on this site for things that I should bring and that really helped me out. I was all ready and before you know it, it was over. My surgery was Friday and I went back to work on Monday ( office work ) I was in a hotel so I brought a small pillow for the plane ride back propell- I had a few bottles liquid pain meds - perscription from my Dr in my home town easy to wear clothes/ shoes I got the med from the Clinic I was banded in filled brfore the surgery GasX chewable pills and strips... I really needed this ! these things really helped me out. I also traveled with a friend. I am soooo happy I did this, You will be too. Try not to worry too much you will do fine Take care :smile2:

  14. Does anyone know how they fix the port when it is on it's side. I was told they could do that when I was at goal. I am guessing when I have a TT. My port sticks out !
  15. Best Wishes Mandi !
  16. My port is on it's side so it does stick out a little. At first it hurt if I did too many sit ups, too much bending forward , when I was gardening , ect, but slowly that has gone away. Eventually I would like it fixed, but for now it is good.
  17. Thanks that is a very good point. thank you :scared2:
  18. I have been waiting for over a year to be able to attend one , but I never seem to be in Toronto when they are happening !
  19. I am not sure what the wait is here, my sister inlaw does the paperwork for the doctor for OHIP so she knows what they will allow. I do plan on finding out.
  20. Do clinics like TLBC do the same thing ? When I was there and asked the qustion on the cost of a tummy tuck jill told me anywhere from $7000 - $15,000 depending on what they do ! There was really no mention on any coverage by OHIP on any level. I am not ready for one now. I would like to lose 50 lbs, but I want all my ducks in a row when that time comes.
  21. Thanks for the advice. I will try it !
  22. My sister inlaw works for a plastic surgeon. She told me after a certain amount of weight loss that ohip covers a tt if there is an apron. I did ask at TLBC but they told me that it is about $ 7000. I am not ready yet but I do believe that will go in that direction.
