  1. I felt it was only my business, no one at work knows and only 2 close friends
  2. Had a fill in Toronto On Thursday all was well untul saturday when I could not even drink water.. It was awful, I was flying back on Sunday so was relieved when I was able to drink a little... I went to a down town hospital but they did not want to touch me !!! I later found out that I should have gone to Scarbourgh Grace,, oh well I hope I never have to do that again.
  3. I was slow too, or should I say I am slow to lose. I was told to eat my protein first, vegies next and last carbs... I can't eat any bread , wraps or very little pasta... here is the kicker, I can eat a cookie !!!!!:smile2:
  4. I have to fly to Toronto to get fills so I sure hope that it keeps going good. I really don't want to have to fly back.
  5. Me too ! Considering I was from out of town, I expected something ! Well now that I am back at home things are better. I am able to eat thick soup, protein shake and crackers. I am so taking it slow. I will ask the clinic what I should do if that ever happens again. :biggrin:
  6. I was in Toronto to get a fill on Thursday. Everything went well, but on Saturday I started not being able to eat yogurt, then it became juice and water. A little tea was ok. On Sunday morning things were the same so I called the clinic knowing it was closed, but hoped there was instructions if you need help.Nothing. Sooo I went to a hospital down town Toronto, I think it was Mount...... ( something , Well they would not touch me because of the band and said that I should wait until Monday... I was flying bacl on Sunday night...... As things go, It settled down so I left Toronto. What should I have done ? I am a little concerned, what if it flares up... what caused it ? Pretty scary not feeling that you can swallow water ! :biggrin:

  8. I SO WOULD LOVE TO BE ABLE TO ATTEND ALL THE BOOT CAMPE AND SUPPORT GROUPS ! I WILL BE THERE NEXT WED !!!!! OPS caps lock was on... heheheh
  9. It is going pretty good, I find if I write down what I eat, I am much better and try not to snack on food that goes down easy. Those protein drinks with a banana work great for me as I can't eat a banana any othey way. They are filling ! I so need to hit the gym more !!!
  10. See another doctor, Look into everything. I have the lap band , my friend the gastric by pass, both of us are happy with our decision. She has lost more weight then I have ,but I will lose the rest of the weight. Don't give up !
  11. When it happened to me I was about 5 months after surgery ! I has not happened since.
  12. I do know that in was not stitched in place. I quess whene I am in Toronto in two weeks I will have to ask them. Thanks
  13. I was the same way with the gas, gas x was my best friend for about 5 days. Walking helped too ! Hang in there, it will get better each day !
  14. My friends's Dr told her the same thing that the by pass is less dangerious then the band. :cool: I gave her this site to go on.
  15. It was about 4 nights before I was back to sleeping good. The 2 & 3 were the worst for me. The shoulder pain killed me. I was tender to move around for about a week or so. I had my surgery on a fFriday and went back to work on Monday. I have a desk job :cool: Rest & take some time to heal, it will be much better soon

  19. Well I know for be that I belly dance 5 times a week so I do think that I was using my stomach muscles too much. Fills are still good.
  20. I got a phone call to my hotel, bit that is it. My port has flipped but fills are ok. It does stick out ? How do they fix it ? are you awake for it ?:cool:
  21. Well I hope to here what others know before I go to Toronto. It will give me some insight to what I will be doing. I want a tt as soon as I can get rid of the last 50 lbs, but I hope I can do both in one surgery. I will let you know what they say at the TLBC at the end of the month.
  22. My port has flipped and was told that it can be fixed and relocated once I have lost all my weight. Where would they put it ? ( I really don't mind where it is but it does stick out . ) Is it doen the same way as when you have the surgery ? If I want a tt should I do it first or can I have it both done at the same time ? Does this mean that I should have a tt at the TLBC ? I do have a fill apt in two weeks there. thanks for any advice ! :tongue2:

  24. The soup is good ! I had this vanillia protein powder that I hated so I found a recipe that mixed the protein powder, with 1c skim milk, ice , coco, decaf coffee ( I uses instant coffee) and blended it with ice and 1 splenda !!! well, oh my god it is soooo good. I will be using this one !
  25. I wish I could go to the boot camps ! I will be in toronto In two weeks for a fill, maybe they will have something when I am there ! Has anyone had a Tummy Tuck at TLBC ?
