  1. Thanks all for the congrats. I can't make it today for a couple of reasons, first my son has a T-ball game at 11:30 and also it is a long drive for just my self. Although I a desperate for a support group meeting since they cancelled the one where I live. So maybe I will host soon or plan something for all of us to do closer to me
  2. oh and ps... my scale is 1 pound heavier then Kaiser at all times :bored: And I have lost 50.5 lbs since November, half my personal goal! (Yesterday I was 202, so I lost 2.5 lbs overnight!!!! Love my VSG hehehehehe)
  3. Ok Ladies & John.... Are you ready for this? Drum roll please......
  4. Go Chrissy! 13 in one week! My sleeve sista :bored: Mo, I'm trying to catch up with your skinny butt so we can shop together at that one store you want to go to (and I think you ment to say 2009 lol) Go Pam! A new bike whoo hoo !!!! Ali- You are looking great! I too feel the same way you doo about my choice of procedure, pluss many other reasons lol! But I love everyone on here so I stay
  5. Yeah Mo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Friday I will be 1 month out and down 16 lbs. in one month  Wish it was more but not bad considering I am 2 sizes down too
  6. Yeah I have been at a stand still this week so far still at 202. But I agree pound by pound  Nice Pic John!
  7. Chrissy you are only 10 lbs. below me girl I know it's not a competition but hey if you catch up and get skinner then me all my clothes will be to big for you lol!!!!
  8. Tina- I ditto Chrissy's thoughts Stacey- They use your past weights as well as your orientation weight. It would be a great thing if you lost some between your orientation and surgeon apt. because that shows them commitment and that you are ahead of the game
  9. I love my Chrissy 2!!!!
  10. vkgirl - Thats a long wait. I know that I took 6 months but that was my fault for not loseing the 10% faster lol! the average wait is 3 months for Kaiser Fremont. Stacey- I am so glad you made that decision. Anything you need or want to know just ask and we will do our best to help you get the answers! Monica- Thinking about you, I know Dr. Chu took real good care of you! post with an update as soon as you can  Tina- you are welcomed to hang out here as much as you like. There is a ton of informatio to be spread lol! Yes Lee is on this site as well. I think she is on vacay in France right now lol! Chrissy, my bff I love our talks Here is the link to another board that has all sleevsters and some of them ar 3-5 years out: Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy Forum (VSG)
  11. No problem Stacey! Just make sure you do what is right for you along with a well educated decision!
  12. Mo- I love Everett & Jones!!!!!!!! Pam- So happy for your loss-79 wow! Cole- The sleeve has the lowest complication rate of all three surgeries, please research this. VSG is exactly what they do for someone who has had cronich ulsers or stomach cancer with people living well over 40+ years of research. Side note about the band here is a quote from my Kaiser Fremont Book "The overall re-operation rate for lap bands is as high as 1 in 6 over 10 years." Anyways, I am doing great-just board with my food. I am on the soft foods- deli meat cheese ect. John/Lee/Ali... What where you all eating at that phase?
  13. Hey Chrissy Girl! My sleeve bff buddy :001_wub: Hi Cherice, I have Kaiser Fremont. All three have very simmaler pre-op programs. From what I know and what I did Kaiser doesn't do a liquid diet, just the 1200 calorie one and maybe liquids the day before surgery. I was sleeved on May 25th.
  14. Mo- for sure! Friday is a better day for me, I actually have a child in my daycare on Thursday. I hope it gets better with your band :smile2: Wish I had the answers, although Pam's where great!
  15. Today is a great day!!!!! This morning the scale said 202.5, and i fit in my first size 16 pants in over 7 years, and my hubby bought me a Cadillac Escalade!!!!!!! Whooo Hoo!
  16. Pam- you look good!!!!!!!!! Mo- Congrats on the fill girl  We are gonna party when you are at goal !!!!! Cole, plenty of people on Lapband Tallk have lost in the upwards of 100 lbs. The surgery you have is really up to you. Personally I would never have bypass just because of the malabsorbtion. I had the sleeve for many reasons (allergies to meds, and GERD ect.) But just do your research on all the boards, VSG talk, and obesity help boards. Then approach your Dr. with that information so the two of you can make the best decision. Make sure to look at the bad and the good!)
  17. Hey Mo! I see you down there
  18. Hi John, it's always nice to see you pop in and say hi :scared2: Annalyn, sorry to hear you have been sick. April, good to see you on here too. Tam & Christine, I glad you both got fills! Hi Nicolie !!!!! It's so funny you where on the phone when I was visiting Chrissy :scared2: I'm glad you are doing well and happy to see you post. I can't wait for the pic's of your new place. Sherri congrats on the date :scared2: Becca I hope your apt. gose well. Stacey you usely get a letter confirming your referal within a week or two of it being sent by your PCP. I know that I called and asked for the earliest "orientation" date! I am doing much better day by day. I saw Chrissy at the hospital last night and she was looking well. I talked to her tonight and she was notfeeling good after the long ride home  Hopefully a good sleep and her heating pad will do the trick. I will keep you all posted!
  19. Congrats Ali!!!! On a side note, Chrissy is having her surgery today, lets all wish her an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery!!!
  20. yeah Nicolie you can use meetup.com
  21. Cole83, I just had my sleeve surgery on the 25th and I have 2 little ones - 2 & 3.5 year olds. I needed help the first 2 weeks for the 2 year old to be put in his car seat, but other then that they where okay. I was given the go ahead to lift them up at my 2 week post op apt. but to just lift with my legs. Before then I just had them use a stool or something to climb up higher to me on my bed or on the couch if they could not reach. You will be just fine.
  22. I never said July-you talkin to some one else? lol
  23. Yeah Chrissy
